- देश की राजधानी दिल्ली में पीने के पानी की काफी बड़ी किल्लत है यहां तक कि पीने के पानी को लेकर आपसी झगड़े में हत्याएं तक हो जाती है पर यह देखिए दिल्ली में किस तरह से दिल्ली जल बोर्ड लीकेज के प्रति लापरवाह है कितनी बड़ी तादाद में दिल्ली जल बोर्ड का पानी खाली मैदानों और सड़कों पर बह रहा है । ये जगह है रोहिणी इलाके का शाहबाद डेरी एरिया यहां पर डीडीए की इलाके में सड़क किनारे दिल्ली जल बोर्ड की बड़ी पाइप लाइन फट गई है और हजारों लीटर पानी लबालब भर गया है बेकार बह रहा है। आसपास के लोगों को पीने के लिए पानी नहीं मिलता पीने की पानी की सप्लाई नहीं आती लोग पानी के लिए सरकार को कोसते रहते हैं और यहां हजारों लीटर पानी सड़क किनारे बेकार बह रहा है इस पानी को बहते हुए करीब 5 घंटे हो चुके हैं और कई घंटे और इसी तरह बहने की आशंका है क्योंकि पाइप लाइन को पीछे से प्रेशर बंद करने के बाद भी जब तक पानी की पूरी यह लाइन खाली नहीं हो जाएगी यह पानी की तरह बहता रहेगा।
