    1000m മുകളില്‍ താഴ്ചയുള്ള മറ്റു അഞ്ചു ഗുഹകള്‍ കൂടി ഈ പ്രദേശത്ത് ഉണ്ട്. സമുദ്രനിരപ്പില്‍ നിന്നും 2,256m ഉയരത്തിലാണ് Krubera Cave ന്റെ സ്ഥാനം. ഉക്രേനിയന്‍ സ്പീളിയോലോജിസ്റ്റ് ആയ Gennadiy Samokhin ആണ് 2012 ഇത്രയും താഴ്ചയില്‍ ചെന്ന് പര്യവേഷണം നടത്തി ലോക റെക്കോര്‍ഡ് ഇട്ടത്

    ഭരതന്‍ സംവിധാനം വൈശാലിയില്‍ സിനിമയില്‍ ഏറെ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ സിനിമയുടെ പേരില്‍ പ്രശസ്തമായ ഗുഹയാണ് ഇടുക്കി ഡാമിനോട് ചേര്‍ന്ന് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന വൈശാലി ഗുഹ.ഇടമലയാര്‍ ജല വൈദ്യുത പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി അണക്കെട്ട് നിര്‍മ്മിക്കുന്നതിനായി പദ്ധതി പ്രദേശത്തേക്കെത്തിച്ചേരാന്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചതാണ് വൈശാലി ഗുഹ.പാറതുരന്ന് 550 മീ നീളത്തിലാണ് ഈ ഗുഹ.അണക്കെട്ട് നിര്‍മ്മാണം നടക്കുന്ന കാലത്ത് ആളുകളും കച്ചവടസ്ഥാപനങ്ങളും ഈ ഗുഹയ്ക്കുള്ളിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നെന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നു.ഇന്ന് എപ്പോഴും ഈ ഗുഹയിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശനം അനുവദിക്കില്ലെന്നത് മറ്റൊരു പ്രത്യേകതയാണ്.വാവലുകളുടെ വലിയ കൂട്ടങ്ങള്‍ വൈശാലി ഗുഹ കീഴടക്കി കഴിഞ്ഞു.പകല്‍സമയങ്ങളില്‍ പോലും കൂരിരുട്ടാണ് ഗുഹയ്ക്കുള്ളില്‍.വൈശാലി ഗുഹയ്ക്ക് സമീപം അഞ്ചുരുളി എന്ന1രു തുരങ്കമുണ്ട്.സിനിമക്കാരുടെ പ്രിയയിടമാണിവിടം.

    വിയറ്റ്‌നാമില്‍ പലതരം ഗുഹകള്‍ കാണപ്പെടുന്നുവെങ്കിലും ഒട്ടുമിക്കവയും വെള്ളത്താല്‍ ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ടവയാണ്. ജലാശയങ്ങളിലൂടെ വേണം അവിടേക്കു എത്താന്‍ തന്നെ .
    മനോഹരമായാ രീതിയില്‍ മിനുക്കിതയ്യാറക്കിയ പടവുകളും നടപ്പാതയും സുഗമമായി നടന്നു കാണാനുള്ള അവസരവും പാരഡൈസ് കേവ് ഒരുക്കുന്നു. അകതലങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങി ചെല്ലുന്തോറും വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ അംശം നന്നേ കുറയും. അവസാന പടവില്‍ നിന്നും നോക്കിയാല്‍ ഗുഹാകവാടത്തിലെ ചെറിയ വെളിച്ചം മാത്രമേ കാണാന്‍ സാധിക്കു. നല്ല തണുപ്പും വെള്ളത്തുള്ളികള്‍ ഇറ്റിറ്റു വീഴുന്ന ശബ്ദവും സഞ്ചാരികളെ പുതിയൊരു ലോകത്തെത്തിച്ച പ്രതീതി ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു. കോടാനുകോടി വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ട് പ്രകൃതി തീര്‍ത്ത ശില്പ ചാതുര്യമാണ് ഇവിടെത്തെ പ്രധാന ആകര്‍ഷണം.


    മുപ്പത്തൊന്നു കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ ദൂരമുള്ള ഈ ഗുഹക് ഉള്‍വശം സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്ക് മുഉഴുവനായും തുറന്നു കൊടുത്തില്ല. 3കി മീ മാത്രമാണ് സഞ്ചരികല്കായി തുറന്നുകൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. നൂറു മീറ്റര്‍ ഉയരവും അതില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ വീതിയും ഉണ്ട് ഗുഹക്കു ഉള്‍വശം. ഒരു ക്രിസ്ത്യന്‍ ദേവാലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീതി ഇളവക്കുന്നതാണ് ഗുഹയുടെ അകത്തളങ്ങളിലെ കാഴ്ചകള്‍.

(ഗുഹകളെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനത്തിന്റെ പേരാണ് Speleology). റഷ്യന്‍ ഭാഷയില്‍ ഈ ഗുഹക്ക് Voronya Cave എന്നും പേരുണ്ട് . അര്‍ഥം എന്താണെന്ന് വെച്ചാല്‍ കാക്കകളുടെ ഗുഹ ! . ഗുഹാമുഖത്ത്‌ കൂട് കൂട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് കാക്കകള്‍ ആണ് ഈ പേരിന് നിദാനം .
    ഈ ഗുഹയുടെ ചില ശാഖകള്‍ അപ്പുറത്ത് കരിങ്കടല്‍ വരെ നീളും എന്നാണ് ചിലര്‍ കരുതുന്നത് .
    ഉറവകളും , നദികളും , വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടങ്ങളും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു വിചിത്രലോകമാണ് ഈ ഗുഹയുടെ ഉള്‍വശം ! പലയിടത്തും ജലം നിറഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്ന ടണലുകള്‍ ആയ “sumps” ആണ് ഉള്ളത് . അതുവരെയും കയറില്‍ കെട്ടി തൂങ്ങി ഇറങ്ങുന്ന പര്യവേഷകര്‍ ഇത്തരം ടണലുകളില്‍ സ്കുബാ ഡൈവിംഗ് നടത്തിയാണ് അടുത്ത ടണലില്‍ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നത് . 52 മീറ്റര്‍ ആഴത്തില്‍ വരെ വെള്ളം നിറഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്ന “sumps” കൃബേറാ ഗുഹയില്‍ ഉണ്ട് ! ഇത്തരം കുഴികള്‍ക്കും ചെറു ഗുഹകള്‍ക്കും ഇടയിലുള്ള ഇടുങ്ങിയ ഇടനാഴികളെ meanders എന്നാണ് വിളിക്കുന്നത്‌ . ചില meander നു ഒരു കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വരെ നീളം ഉണ്ടാവാം . മിക്കതിനും ഒരാള്‍ക്ക്‌ കഷ്ടിച്ച് ഞെരുകി മാത്രമേ പോകുവാന്‍ സാധിക്കൂ .
    കൃബേറാ ഗുഹാമുഖത്ത്‌ കാക്കകള്‍ ആണ് നമ്മെ വരവേല്‍ക്കുന്നതെങ്കില്‍ അകത്ത് ചീവിടുകള്‍ ആണ് ഉള്ളത് (Catops cavicis) .
    എന്നാല്‍ ആഴം കൂടും തോറും ഇത്തരം ജീവികള്‍ക്ക് ജീവിക്കാന്‍ പറ്റാത്ത അവസ്ഥ ഉടലെടുക്കുന്നു . പിന്നീട് അങ്ങോട്ട്‌ ചില അപൂര്‍വ്വ ഇനം പ്രാണികള്‍ മാത്രമേ ഉള്ളൂ . കൃബേറാ ഗുഹയിലെ കൂരിരുട്ടില്‍ പന്ത്രണ്ടു തരം ചെറു പ്രാണികള്‍ (arthropods) ജ

    കടലിൽ അപകടത്തിൽ പെട്ട് പോയ മനുഷ്യർക്ക് രക്ഷകരായെത്തിയ ഡോൾഫിനുകൾ.കാലിഫോര്‍ണിയയിലെ മറീനസ്റേറ്റ് ബീച്ചില്‍ ടോഡ്‌ ഹെന്‍ട്രി തന്‍റെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളുടെ കൂടെ സര്‍ഫിംഗ് ആസ്വദിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്ബോഴാണ് പതിനഞ്ച് അടി നീളമുള്ള ഒരു സ്രാവ് ഹെന്‍ട്രിയെ ആക്രമിക്കാന്‍ വന്നത്. ശക്തമായ ആക്രമണത്തില്‍ ഹെന്‍ട്രിയുടെ പുറംഭാഗത്ത് സ്രാവിന്‍റെ കടിയേറ്റു. തുടരെയുള്ള ആക്രമണത്തില്‍ സര്‍ഫ് ബോര്‍ഡില്‍ താടിയിടിച്ച സ്രാവ് തന്‍റെ അരിശം തീര്‍ത്തത് ഹെന്‍ട്രിയുടെ വലത് കാല്‍ കടിച്ചെടുക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിലാണ്. പുറംഭാഗത്ത് നിന്ന് രക്തം ഊര്‍ന്നു വീഴുകയും ആക്രമണത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടാനുള്ള തത്രപ്പാടില്‍ ശക്തിക്ഷയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്ബോള്‍ ഇവിടെ വെച്ച്‌ ജീവിതം അവസാനിച്ചെന്ന് കരുതിയിരിക്കുമ്ബോഴാണ് ഒരു കൂട്ടം ഡോള്‍ഫിനുകള്‍ രംഗത്തെത്തുന്നത്.ആ ഡോള്‍ഫിന്‍ കൂട്ടങ്ങള്‍ ഹെന്‍ട്രിക്ക് ചുറ്റും വൃത്താകൃതിയില്‍ ഒരു സംരക്ഷണമേഖല സൃഷ്‌ടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ആക്രമണകാരിയായ സ്രാവിനെ അകറ്റിനിര്‍ത്തി. ഉയര്‍ന്നുപൊങ്ങുന്ന തിരമാലകളില്‍ കരയിലേക്കുള്ള വഴികാണിച്ചു കൊടുത്ത് കൊണ്ട് ഹെന്‍ട്രിയുടെ ജീവന്‍ അത്ഭുതകരമായി ഡോള്‍ഫിന്‍ കൂട്ടങ്ങള്‍ രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തി.ന്യുസിലാണ്ടിലെ വടക്ക് ഭാഗത്തുള്ള ഒരു സ്ഥലമാണ് Whangarei. റോബ് ഹോവേസ് എന്ന ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ലൈഫ് ഗാര്‍ഡും രണ്ടു കുട്ടികളും റോബിന്‍റെ രണ്ടു സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും കരയില്‍ നിന്ന് ദൂരെ കടലില്‍ കുളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതിനിടയില്‍ ഒരു കൂട്ടം ഡോള്‍ഫിന്‍ പൊടുന്നെനെ അവരുടെ നേര്‍ക്ക് നീന്തിവന്നു. റോബിന്‍റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെയും ഡോള്‍ഫിനുകള്‍ ആദ്യം ചുറ്റി വളഞ്ഞു. ഡോള്‍ഫിനുകള്‍ അവരോടൊപ്പം കളിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് കരുതി ആ വലയത്തില്‍ നിന്നും പുറത്ത് പോകാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ച റോബിനെ രണ്ടു വലിയ ഡോള്‍ഫിനുകള്‍ അതിനു സമ്മതിക്കാതെ റോബിനെയും ആ വളയത്തിനകത്താക്കി. ആ സമയത്താണ് പത്ത് അടിയുള്ള ഒരു വെള്ളസ്രാവ് വെറും രണ്ടു മീറ്റര്‍ അകലത്ത്‌ റോബിന്‍റെ നേരെയടുക്കുന്നത് അദ്ദേഹം കാണുന്നത്.അഞ്ചുപേരുടെ ജീവന്‍ രക്ഷിക്കാനായി നാല്പത് മിനിട്ട് നേരം സ്രാവ് തിരിച്ചു പോകുന്നത് വരെ ഡോള്‍ഫിന്‍കൂട്ടങ്ങള്‍ വാലിട്ടടിച്ച്‌ അവരെ ഒരേ സ്ഥലത്ത് നിറുത്താന്
