    സിതാര വഫേദാര്‍ എന്ന അഫ്ഗാന്‍ പെണ്‍കുട്ടി മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ആണായി ജീവിച്ചത് ഒരു പതിറ്റാണ്ട്.സ്ത്രീകളെ പൊതുസമൂഹത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് മാറ്റിനിര്‍ത്തുന്ന അഫ്ഗാന്‍ സമൂഹത്തില്‍ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ നിത്യചെലവിന് വക കണ്ടെത്താന്‍ ആണ്‍രൂപം സ്വീകരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ഈ പെണ്‍കുട്ടി.നന്‍ഗഹാര്‍ പ്രവിശ്യയിലെ വിദൂരഗ്രാമത്തില് 6 പെണ്‍ മക്കളുള്ള വീട്ടിലെ അഞ്ചാമത്തെ കുട്ടിയാണ് സിതാര.അഫ്ഗാന്‍ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളില്‍ പെണ്‍കുട്ടികളഅ# മാത്രമുള്ള വീടുകളില്‍ ഒരു പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയ പുരുഷനെ പോലെ വളര്‍ത്തുന്നബച്ചാ പോഷി എന്ന ആചാരമുണ്ട്.മുടിമുറിച്ച് ആണുങ്ങളെ പോലെ വേഷവിധാനം നടത്തി അവര് ചെയ്യുന്ന ഡോലികളും ഉത്തരവാദിത്തങ്ങളും നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നു.തന്റെ 8-ാം വയസിലാണ് സിതാര ആദ്യമായി ആണ്‍വേഷം ധരിക്കുന്നത് പിന്നെ പിതാവിനൊപ്പം ചുടുകട്ട നിര്‍മ്മാണ കമ്പനിയില്‍ ജോലിക്ക് പോയിത്തുടങ്ങി
    പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയായി ജീവിക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചാല്‍ 13കാരി അനിയത്തിക്ക് ആണ്‍വേഷം കെട്ടേണ്ടിവരും അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് തന്റെ സ്വപ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ മാറ്‌റിവെച്ച് ആണായി ജീവിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് സിതാര പറയുന്നു
