"In Pool A on Saturday, Malaysia went up against India looking to gain their first points of the 2014 Rabobank Men's Hockey World Cup.
India started the more positively and patiently put pressure on the Malaysian defence, and went 1-0 from a penalty corner finished by Jasjit Singh Kular in the 14th minute. India continued to dominate the game but couldn't add to the one goal lead and went into the break at 1-0.
India were made to pay for their lack of ruthlessness in front of goal when Malaysia made it 1-1 in the 46th minute through a penalty corner shot from Razie Rahim that trickled over the line. However, three minutes later a failed PC from Malaysia allowed India to counter and re-take the lead with Akashdeep Singh deflecting a shot into the cage. Another counter attack three minutes later put India 3-1 ahead with a skilful finish from Akashdeep Singh to get his second goal of the game. Indian keeper Sreejesh Raveendran then made a fantastic stick save. Malaysia pulled the score back to 3-2 with nine minutes to go through Marhan Jalil to ensure a dramatic finish, but India were able to hold on and gain their first win of the tournament.

Day 3 of the 2014 Rabobank Men's Hockey World Cup draws to a close with the contest between Malaysia and Belgium.
The underdogs Malaysia made it 1-0 from their first penalty corner, which was a well worked variation, in the 5th min through Razie Rahim. Belgium fought back and was awarded a penalty stroke after a Malaysian defender blocked a penalty corner effort with his chest. Tom Boon stepped up and made no mistake with his stroke to make it 1-1 in the 14th minute. After Alex de Saedeleer received a yellow card for a rash challenge, Malaysia converted the resulting penalty corner to go up 2-1, with Razie Rahim getting his second goal of the game. The one man disadvantage did not faze Belgium as Kumar Subramiam had to make a great save for Malaysia, before Simon Gougnard missed a golden opportunity right in front of goal. Seconds later, Tom Boon again scored from a penalty corner to bring the scores level at 2-2. Tom Boon was on fire and thought he had scored his hat-trick with a magnificent effort only for it to be ruled out by a video referral. Two minutes later, Boon did grab his hat-trick with a field goal to send Belgium into the break 3-2 up.
Belgium raced out of the blocks in the second half and scored in the 37th minute from a penalty corner through Tanguy Cosyns. England took on Malaysia in Group A as they looked to continue their unbeaten run and heap more misery on the winless Malaysians and it didn't take long for England to take lead with a great team goal. Great vision from Jackson saw him pick out Middleton outside the box with a lovely cross field ball, a clever reverse ball found Gleghorne deep inside the Malaysia box and a clever finish from the England player gave the goal keeper no chance. Malaysia had to withstand heavy pressure from England for the rest of the first half and were lucky not to concede second.
England continued to pile on the pressure in the second half but their frustration continued, with Middelton and Brogdon going closest. But with only a slender advantage England started looking a bit vulnerable to a goal that would cruelly deny them the win but with five minutes to go they made their dominance tell. "Spain and Malaysia played their last Pool A game of the 2014 Rabobank Men's Hockey World Cup.
The Spanish team went into the game knowing that a win would guarantee them a fourth place finish, and took a 1-0 in the 13th minute with Gabriel Dabanch finishing from a penalty corner. Malaysian keeper Kumar Subramiam then made a world-class stick save from another Spanish PC to keep them at bay. Tengku Ahmad then fired Malaysia level in the 24th minute, but soon after two of their players received green cards and two minute suspensions. The poor discipline cost them as Spain went up 2-1 in the 33rd minute through a magnificent solo run and strike by Marc Salles.
Straight from the restart, Spain earned a penalty corner and Santi Freixa scored to extend Spain's lead to 3-1. Gabriel Dabanch then got his second of the game to put the Spaniards 4-1 up. Malaysia managed to reduce the score to 4-2 after Fitri Saari converted a penalty stroke in the 51st minute. Belgium vs India - Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014 Hague Pool A [31/5/2014]
2nd game of the Rabobank Hockey Men's World Cup and its Belgium taking on India in Men's Pool A.
Started off with both teams very even and both teams looking very strong to take the lead. It was Belgium who had the first real chance when Thomas Brlels shot was well saved by India's keeper Harjot Singh and India cleared there lines. Belgium however made their chances count and scored the first goal of the game when Brlels long shot was met by Arthur van Doran who tapped the ball in to put his Nation 1 goal up.
After the break is was pretty scrappy for both team but India showed that they where not going to let Belgium take the lead again and levelled the scores when Mandeep Singh tapped in the ball from Dharamavir Singh cross making the scores 1-1. And they made it 2-1 later on when Akashdeep Singh met a 23 metre cross into the box and scored against the run of play. Belgium however didn't let India's lead last long when they were awarded a Penalty Corner and were levelled again when Simon Gougnard tapped in Tom Boon's Penalty Corner levelling the scores 2-2. With scores even, both teams were looking to break the deadlock but it would the Belgium's who grabbed the last minute goal of the game when John-John Dohmen met a long ball and his shot went straight past the keeper sealing the win for Belgium.দ্বাৰা Puneet Munjal | 914 মতামত

3rd day of the Rabobank Hockey World Cup and its England v. India from Men's Pool A.
The first half and both teams found it hard to break the deadlock creating numerous chances and with India looking the likely team to come close. It would be England though who would break the deadlock when a Penalty Corner was drag-flicked into the net by Mark Gleghorne, giving England the lead. India kept battling and 4 minutes after got the equaliser when Dharamvir Singh received the ball on the top of the D and on the turn, unleashed his fierce shot that did take a deflection, but went straight into the top corner of the net. At the break it was 1-1.
2nd Half, and it started off similar to the first half with both sides trying to break through get a goal. India were the likely team to grab the lead when Sadar Singh made a strong run into the middle but he just could convert his shot into the back of the net. India again were on the attack when Dharamvir Singh made run on the wing and crossed a ball into the net D for Mandeep Singh to execute a shot but hit the side netting, it was not looking like India's day. It looked like the next goal from either team would win the game and when England were awarded a penalty corner, and although Harjot Singh made a fantastic save, the ball went straight in the path of Simon Mantell whose shot went straight in to the net, winning it for England, 2-1.দ্বাৰা Puneet Munjal | 535 মতামত
India vs Spain - Men's Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014 Hague Pool A [05/6/2014]
"Thursday's Pool A action of the Rabobank Men's Hockey World Cup came to a close with India taking on Spain.
After a tense and physical start, India was awarded a penalty stroke after Mandeep Singh was tripped and Rupinder Singh squeezed the stroke past the keeper in the 28th minute. Roc Oliva equalised for Spain a minute before half time, finally beating the Indian keeper who had made a triple save before the goal.
The physicality of both teams continued to show during the second half which resulted in few clear cut chances. India had the better opportunities as the clock ran down but both teams had to settle for the 1-1 draw in the end.দ্বাৰা Puneet Munjal | 442 মতামত
Australia vs India - Men's Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014 Hague Pool A [09/6/2014]
"Day 9 of the Rabobank Hockey World Cup and we see, in the last Pool A game in the Men's Tournement, Australia take on India.
1st half and it was all Australia when they dominated the game and outclassed India. The first goal came from Kieran Govers scored to put Australia 1-0, after a .... Shot. It was the Chris Ciriello who with a Penalty Corner and his dragflicked went into the back of the net. It was 3-0 after when Australia were awarded another Penalty Corner, and it was Govers turn to dragflick this shot but his shot was blocked by the India defence but Jeremy Harward was on hand to score on the rebound. Dominating the game, it was 4-0 before the break when again another Penalty Corner was awarded to the Aussies, and Chirs Ciriello doubled his tally and leaving India a lot of work to do.
2nd Half, and Australia could have increased their lead but if it wasn't for keeper Sreejesh Parattu Raveendran, who stopped India from giving any more goals away. Sreejesh made some fantastic saves from shots from Jacob Whetton and Kieren Govers. Malaysia vs South Africa - Men's Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014 Hague 11th/12th Place [12/6/2014]
"South Africa went up against Malaysia in the clash for 11th place at the 2014 Rabobank Men's Hockey World Cup.
Malaysia took the 1-0 lead in the 26th minute through a great solo goal by Firhan Ashari and held onto the lead until the half time break.
South Africa came out much better in the second half and equalised in the 43rd minute when they were awarded a penalty stroke and Justin Reid-Ross struck high into the net. Five minutes later Reid-Ross got his second goal of the game to put South Africa 2-1 ahead from a penalty corner. He got his hat-trick from another PC two minutes later to increase the lead to 3-1. South Africa was rampant and Lloyd Norris-Jones added a fourth a minute later. Captain Austin Smith put his team 5-1 up from yet another PC in the 65th minute and there was still time for a sixth goal as Jean-Pierre de Voux scored a field goal in the 68th min. Netherlands vs Japan - Women's Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014 Hague Pool A [31/5/2014]
The reigning Olympic champions started their Rabobank Hockey World Cup campaign against Japan in the final game of day one.
The Netherlands got off to a blistering start and opened the scoring in the 7th minute with Kelly Jonker finishing from close range. The Oranje went from strength to strength and added 2 more goals in quick succession with Jonker getting her second of the night and Maartje Paumen scoring from a penalty corner in the 23rd minute. Japan struggled to gain a foothold in the match and were relieved to reach the halfway point with the score only 3-0.
The Dutch team continued their dominance in the second half and went 4-0 up in the 39th minute with Ellen Hoog getting on the score sheet. Two minutes later, Kelly Jonker completed her hat-trick to increase the score to 5-0. Maartje Paumen netted her second of the game from a penalty stroke with ten minutes remaining.
