    ജര്‍മ്മന്‍ ആഢംബര വാഹന നിര്‍മ്മാതാക്കളായ മെഴ്‍സിഡസ് ബെന്‍സിന്‍റെ CLS കൂപ്പെയുടെ മൂന്നാംതലമുറ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിപണിയില്‍ പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. ആഢംബരം തുളുമ്പുന്ന പുതിയ നാലു ഡോറിലാണ് കൂപ്പെ എത്തുന്നത്. ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ മെര്‍സിഡീസ് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന ഏക നാലു ഡോര്‍ കൂപ്പെ മോഡലാണ് CLS ക്ലാസ്. ക്ലാസിക്, സ്‌പോര്‍ട്, പ്രൊഗ്രസ്സീവ് എന്നിങ്ങനെ മൂന്നു മോഡുകള്‍ ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ കോക്പിറ്റില്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം. കോണോടുകോണ്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന എല്‍ഇഡി ഹെഡ്‌ലാമ്പുകള്‍, ടെയില്‍ലാമ്പുകള്‍, അഡാപ്റ്റീവ് ഹൈ ബീം അസിസ്റ്റ്, എല്‍ഇഡി ഡെയ്‌ടൈം റണ്ണിംഗ് ലൈറ്റുകള്‍, 64 നിറങ്ങളുള്ള ആംബിയന്റ് ലൈറ്റിംഗ്, രണ്ടു വലിയ സ്‌ക്രീനുള്ള ഇന്‍ഫോടെയ്ന്‍മെന്റ് സംവിധാനം, ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ ഇന്‍സ്ട്രമെന്റ് കണ്‍സോള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവയൊക്കെ വാഹനത്തിന്‍റെ പ്രത്യേകതകളാണ്. 12.3 ഇഞ്ച് ഡിസ്‌പ്ലേയുള്ള ഇന്‍ഫോടെയ്ന്‍മെന്റ് സംവിധാനത്തിന് ആന്‍ട്രോയ്ഡ് ഓട്ടോ, ആപ്പിള്‍ കാര്‍പ്ലേ കണക്ടിവിറ്റി ഓപ്ഷനുകളുടെ പിന്തുണയുണ്ട്. 13 ഹൈ പെര്‍ഫോര്‍മന്‍സ് ബര്‍മിസ്റ്റര്‍ സറൗണ്ട് ഓഡിയോ സംവിധാനവും മോഡലിന്റെ സവിശേഷതയാണ്. 2.0 ലിറ്റര്‍ ഇന്‍ലൈന്‍ നാലു സിലിണ്ടര്‍ ഡീസല്‍ എഞ്ചിനാണ് വാഹനത്തിന്‍റെ ഹൃദയം. പരമാവധി 245 bhp കരുത്തും 500 Nm torque ഉം ഈ എഞ്ചിന് സൃഷ്ടിക്കാനാവും. ഒമ്പതു സ്പീഡ് ഇരട്ട ക്ലച്ച് ഗിയര്‍ബോക്‌സാണ് ട്രാന്‍സ്‍മിഷന്‍. പൂജ്യത്തില്‍ നിന്നും നൂറു കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വേഗത്തിലെത്താന്‍ വാഹനത്തിനു വെറും 6.2 സെക്കന്‍ഡുകള്‍ മാത്രം മതി. മണിക്കൂറില്‍ 250 കിലോമീറ്ററാണ് CLS ന്റെ പരമാവധി വേഗം. 84.7 ലക്ഷം രൂപയാണ് വാഹനത്തിന്‍റെ വില.

    ആഢംബര എംപിവികള്‍ക്ക് പുതിയ നിര്‍വചനം കുറിച്ച് മെര്‍സിഡീസ് ബെന്‍സ്. 2019 ബെന്‍സ് വി-ക്ലാസ് വിപണിയിലെത്തി. ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ നിലവില്‍ ആഢംബര എംപിവികളില്ല. 68.4 ലക്ഷം രൂപ പ്രാരംഭ വിലയില്‍ വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന മെര്‍സിഡീസ് ബെന്‍സ് വി-ക്ലാസ് ഈ കുറവ് നികത്തും. രണ്ടു വകേഭദങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രമെ വി-ക്ലാസിനുള്ളൂ, പ്രാരംഭ എക്‌സ്പ്രഷനും ഉയര്‍ന്ന എക്‌സ്‌ക്ലൂസീവും.2014 മുതല്‍ വിദേശ വിപണികളില്‍ വിലസുന്ന വി-ക്ലാസിന്റെ മൂന്നാം തലുറയാണ് ബെന്‍സ് ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ എത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. കമ്പനി ഇന്ത്യയിലെത്തിക്കുന്ന മൂന്നാമത്തെ എംപിവിയുമാണിത്. തൊണ്ണൂറുകളില്‍ എംബി100 വാനും 2011-ല്‍ ആര്‍-ക്ലാസ് ലക്ഷ്വറി എംപിവിയും ബെന്‍സ് ഇന്ത്യയിലെത്തിച്ചിരുന്നു.
    81.90 ലക്ഷം രൂപയാണ് വി-ക്ലാസ് എക്‌സ്‌ക്ലൂസീവ് ലൈന്‍ മോഡലിന് വില.
    ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില്‍ വി-ക്ലാസ് പൂര്‍ണമായും വിദേശത്ത് നിര്‍മിച്ച് ഇറക്കുമതി ചെയ്യുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഈ വര്‍ഷം ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ മെര്‍സിഡീസ് അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ആദ്യ മോഡലെന്ന ബഹുമതിയും വി-ക്ലാസിന് സ്വന്തം. പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായും സ്‌പെയിനില്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിച്ച വി-ക്ലാസ് മോഡലുകളാണ് ഇവിടെ വില്‍പ്പനയ്ക്കു വരിക.
    എംപിവിയിലുള്ള 2.0 ലിറ്റര്‍ നാലു സിലിണ്ടര്‍ എഞ്ചിന്‍ ബിഎസ് VI നിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ പാലിക്കും. 160 bhp കരുത്തും 380 Nm torque ഉം എഞ്ചിന് പരമാവധി കുറിക്കാനാവും. ഏഴു സ്പീഡാണ് (7G-ട്രോണിക്) ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് ഗിയര്‍ബോക്‌സ്. യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്ക് കൂടുതല്‍ ലക്ഷ്വറി സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന അകത്തളമാണ് വി-ക്ലാസിന്റെ പ്രധാന സവിശേഷത.ഇലക്ട്രിക് സ്ലൈഡിങ് ഡോര്‍, പനോരമിക് സണ്‍റൂഫ്, തെര്‍മോട്രോണിക് ക്ലൈമറ്റ് കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍ സിസ്റ്റം, കമാന്റ് ഇന്‍ഫോടെയ്ന്‍മെന്റ് സിസ്റ്റം തുടങ്ങിയ നിരവധി സംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ വാഹനത്തിലുണ്ട്.
