    രണ്ടാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധകാലത്ത് നാസി ഭരണകൂടം തടവിലാക്കിയ 36,000 പേരുടെ മരണത്തിന് ഉത്തരവാദിയായ 95 കാരന്‍ കുറ്റക്കാരനെന്ന് ജര്‍മന്‍ കോടതി കണ്ടെത്തി. നാസിയുടെ സൈന്യത്തിലെ ഡെത്ത്‌സ് ഹെഡ് ബറ്റാലിയന്‍ അംഗമായിരുന്നു ഹന്‍സ് വാർണർ എച്ച്‌ . ഓസ്ട്രിയയിലെ മൗതോസന്‍ ക്യാംപില്‍ അരങ്ങേറിയ പീഡനങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍ണ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം ഹന്‍സിനാണെന്ന് പബ്ലിക് പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടറുടെ ഓഫീസില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള അറിയിപ്പിലാണ് പറയുന്നത് . 1944 മുതല്‍ 1945 വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവില്‍ നാസി ക്യാംപുകളില്‍ പെട്ട മൗതേസന്‍ ക്യംപിലെ തടവുകാര്‍ അടിമവേല ചെയ്യാന്‍ നിര്‍ബന്ധിതരായിരുന്നു.ഹന്‍സിനുള്ള ശിക്ഷ കോടതി തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടില്ല .ക്യാംപിന്റെ കാവല്‍ക്കാരനായിരുന്ന ഹന്‍സ് പതിനായിരക്കണക്കിനാളുകളെ കൊന്നൊടുക്കിയതായതായാണ് കോടതിയുടെ കണ്ടെത്തൽ . ഇക്കാലത്ത് മൗതേസന്‍ ക്യാംപില്‍ 36,223 തടവുകാര്‍ മരിച്ചതായാണ് ഔദ്യോഗിക കണക്ക്. പല രീതിയിലുള്ള ക്രൂരപീഡനങ്ങള്‍ക്കിരയായാണ് തടവുകാര്‍ മരിച്ചത്. ഗ്യാസ് പ്രയോഗം, വിഷമരുന്ന് കുത്തിവെയ്പ് എന്നിവ കൂടാതെ വെടിയേറ്റും ധാരാളം പേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. എല്ലാവിധത്തിലുള്ള കൊലപാതകരീതികളിലും പരിജ്ഞാനമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഹന്‍സ് കൂട്ടക്കൊലയ്ക്ക് ആ രീതികള്‍ പരീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.ഏകദേശം രണ്ടു ലക്ഷത്തോളം പേര്‍ ക്യാംപില്‍ തടവിലാക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നെങ്കിലും 1945ൽ അമേരിക്കന്‍ സൈന്യം ക്യാംപിലുള്ളവരെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുമ്ബോള്‍ തടവുകാരുടെ എണ്ണം പകുതിയില്‍ താഴെയായിരുന്നു.
