Police officer among several injured in fresh clashes in Kashmir
A police officer was among several persons injured as fresh clashes erupted on Friday in the Kashmir valley, where life remained crippled due to strike and restrictions imposed by the authorities. Police denied the reports that one person was injured in security force firing in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.

Police officer among 7 cops injured, wireless equipment damaged in Keran mishap
Srinagar, Nov 16 : Seven policemen including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) were injured and a wireless equipment was damaged after a vehicle they were travelling in turned turtle in Keran area along the Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday late evening, police said today.
A police officer concerned told GNS that the vehicle (Sumo-7831) driven by SgCt Majid Hussain (597/IRP) skidded off the road in Keran last evening. “In the mishap all the seven policemen boarding the vehicle received injuries”.
A wireless equipment which was in the vehicle also got damaged, the officer said.
He identified the injured cops as DySP Bodh Raj of IR-4th Bn, SgCt Ratan Lal (439/IRP-4th), SgCt Majid Hussain (597/IRP-4th), SgCt. Irshad Ahmad, a telecom operator (2863/PW), Constable Sanjay (406/IRP-4th), constable Ramesh (789/IRP-4th) and constable Khursheed Ahmad (1173/KP).
All the injured were taken to Primary Health Centre (PHC) for treatment where from DySP Bodh Raj referred to SMHS in serious conditions.

Four people were killed on Tuesday in retaliatory action by the security forces against stone-pelting protesters in Magam area of central Kashmir's Budgam district, taking the death toll in the ongoing unrest in the valley to 62. The entire incecedent had sparked off when a group of youth pelted stones at a CRPF vehicle at Aripathan in Magam area. Condition of two of the injured is stated to be critical. Meanwhile, curfew remained in force in entire Srinagar district and Anantnag town while restrictions were in place in the rest of the valley as normal life remained paralysed for the 39th consecutive day. Schools, colleges and private offices remained closed while public transport remained off the roads due to the strike called by the separatists.

कश्मीर में जारी तनाव के बीच शांति बहाली के लिए केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह दो दिन के कश्मीर दौरे पर श्रीनगर पहुंच गए हैं. इस यात्रा के दौरान राजनाथ वहां की स्थिति की समीक्षा करेंगे. उनके साथ गृह सचिव भी हैं. राजनाथ सिंह कश्मीर में समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों के लोगों के साथ बातचीत भी कर सकते हैं. इस बीच, जम्मू-कश्मीर के कई इलाकों में ताजा झड़पों की खबरें आईं हैं. पुलवामा में सुरक्षाबलों की कार्रवाई में एक युवक की मौत हो गई है. वहीं, श्रीनगर के सफा कदल इलाके में भी प्रदर्शनकारियों और सुरक्षाकर्मियों के बीच हिंसक झड़प हुई...जिसमें 10 लोगों के ज़ख्मी होने की खबर हैं. राजनाथ सिंह के दौरे से ठीक पहले घाटी में बीएसएफ की 26 कंपिनयों की तैनाती की गई है, वहीं आर्मी चीफ जनरल दलबीर सिंह भी मंगलवार को घाटी पहुंचे और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की समीक्षा की थी... कश्मीर को लेकर केंद्र सरकार की मौजूदा नीति में कई बदलाव दिखाई दे रहे हैं...कश्मीर रवाना होने से पहले उन्होंने ट्वीट किया, ‘‘मैं नेहरू गेस्टहाउस में रुकूंगा। जो कश्मीरियत, इंसानियत और जमहूरियत में यकीन रखते हैं उनका स्वागत है।

मिशन कश्मीर के आखिरी दिन गृहमंत्री राजनाथ सिंह और सीएम महबूबा मुफ्ती ने एक साझा प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की। गृहमंत्री ने कहा कि उन्होंने 20 प्रतिनिधमंडल से बातचीत की। सभी लोगों ने एकसुर में कहा कि धरती की जन्नत कश्मीर में आम लोग शांति चाहते हैं...राजनाथ सिंह ने कहा कि वो पहले भी कह चुके हैं कि कश्मीर के युवाओं के हाथ में कलम, किताब और कंप्यूटर की जरूरत है। उनके हाथों में बंदूक और पत्थर नहीं होने चाहिए...कुछ लोग युवाओं को गुमराह कर रहे हैं जिन्हें चिन्हित करने की आवश्यकता है...जम्मू-कश्मीर की सीएम महबूबा मुफ्ती ने कहा कि राज्य की 95 फीसद आबादी शांति चाहती है। कुछ लोग हिंसा के रास्ते पर चल रहे हैं.. इन 5 प्रतिशत लोगों से सख्ती से निपटेंगे. सीएम मुफ्ती ने आगे कहा, 2010 में घाटी में जो हुआ वे हालात अलग थे, आज अगर एक आतंकी एनकाउंटर में मारा गया और उसके बाद जो हालात पैदा हुए हैं, वे अलग हैं. पथराव और कैंपों पर हमला करने से कोई मसला हल नहीं होगा. इससे पहले बुधवार को राजनाथ सिंह ने राजनीतिक दलों के साथ-साथ आम लोगों ने भी मुलाकात की। गृहमंत्री ने स्पष्ट संदेश दिया कि केंद्र सरकार संविधान के दायरे में बातचीत करने को तैयार है। सरकार आम कश्मीरियों के सुख-दुख में बराबर की भागीदार है, लेकिन हिंसा की इजाजत नहीं दी जा सकती है

JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Terrorists on Monday barged into the house of a resident and abducted him in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place in Pulwama's Murran. This incident took place on Sunday night.
Identified as Gulzar Bhat, his bullet-riddled body was recovered from nearby fields.
