    "2017 has been a drag on ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund’s mid-term performance. 2017 was the year when the fund was reducing weight in mid and small-cap, which was leading the market rally. This was a valuation call which in hindsight was ahead of the market. In 2018 when the broader markets cracked, the performance of the fund improved owing to its underweight stance on mid and small-cap companies.
