Mughal road was opened for one-way traffic on Saturday, with the first fleet of seven vehicles allowed to move towards Kashmir valley from Bafliaz area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

    പൗരാണികത വിളിച്ചോതുന്ന അബുദാബി അല്‍ ഹൊസന്‍ കോട്ട സന്ദർശകർക്കായി തുറക്കുന്നു .യു.എ.ഇ.യുടെ വളര്‍ച്ച കൃത്യമായി അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന കാഴ്ചകളിലേക്ക് കോട്ട സന്ദര്‍ശകാരെ കൊണ്ടുപോവുമെന്ന് സാംസ്‌കാരിക-വിനോദസഞ്ചാരവകുപ്പ് ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ മുഹമ്മദ് ഖലീഫ അല്‍ മുബാറഖ് പറഞ്ഞു. നഗരഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഈ സാംസ്‌കാരികകേന്ദ്രം അറബ് ജനതയുടെ ആദിമ കാലഘട്ടം മുതലുള്ള വളര്‍ച്ചയെയെല്ലാം അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതാണ്. സാംസ്‌കാരിക വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്ക് യു.എ.ഇ.യെ അറിയാന്‍ ഏറ്റവും നല്ലൊരിടമായി അല്‍ ഹൊസന്‍ മാറുമെന്ന് വിനോദസഞ്ചാര സാംസ്‌കാരിക വകുപ്പ് അണ്ടര്‍സെക്രട്ടറി സൈഫ് സായിദ് ഗൊബാഷ് പറഞ്ഞു.അബുദാബിയുടെ പ്രൗഢിയും ചരിത്ര പാരമ്പര്യവും തങ്ങിനില്‍ക്കുന്ന കോട്ടയുടെ ഒരു വർഷത്തിലേറെയായി നടന്നുവരുന്ന പുനരുദ്ധാരണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കൊടുവിലാണ് കോട്ട തുറക്കുന്നത്.
    ടൂറിസം ആന്‍ഡ് കള്‍ചര്‍ അതോറിറ്റിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലാണ് നവീകരണ പ്രവർത്തങ്ങൾ നടന്നത് . അബുദാബിയുടെ ഭരണ സിരാകേന്ദ്രമായിരുന്നു അല്‍ ഹൊസന്‍ കോട്ട. പതിനെട്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ നിരീക്ഷണനിലയമായി നിർമിച്ച കോട്ട പിന്നീടു ഭരണാധികാരികളുടെ ഭരണസിരാകേന്ദ്രമായി മാറുകയായിരുന്നു. അബുദാബിയിൽ നഗരഹൃദയത്തിലുള്ള ഏക കോട്ടയും ഇതുതന്നെ. അബുദാബി ദ്വീപിലെ ശുദ്ധജല കിണറിന്റെ സംരക്ഷണത്തിനായി ചുറ്റുപാടും നിരീക്ഷണ ഭടന്മാരെ നിയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നതും ഈ കാവല്‍ഗോപുരത്തിലായിരുന്നു.മീൻപിടിത്തവും മുത്തുവാരലുമായി ഉപജീവനം നടത്തിയിരുന്ന തദ്ദേശീയരിൽനിന്ന് ലോകത്തിന്റെ നെറുകയിലേക്കുള്ള യുഎഇയുടെ വളർച്ചയുടെ ഘട്ടങ്ങൾ അൽഹൊസൻ കോട്ട അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. നാടോടികളായ ബനിയാസ് ഗോത്രവര്‍ഗം 1760-കളില്‍ ലിവയിലെ മരുപ്രദേശത്തുനിന്ന് അബുദാബി തീരത്തെത്തുകയും മുത്തുവാരലും മീന്‍പിടിത്തവുമായി സമൂഹമായി കഴിയാന്‍ ആരംഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. സ്വാഭാവികമായും ശത്രുക്കളുടെ വരവും നീക്കങ്ങളും അറിയാനുള്ള മാര്‍ഗം എന്ന നിലക്ക് 1795-ലാണ് കോട്ടയുടെ നിര്‍മാണം നടക്കുന്നത്..ചരിത്രവും സംസ്‌കാരവും പരിപാലിക്കുകയും അതിന്റെ മൂല്യങ്ങള്‍ വരുംതലമുറയിലേക്ക് പകര്‍ന്നു നല്‍കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന വലിയ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വമാണ് ഇതിലൂടെ നിറവേറ്റപ്പെടുന്നതെന്ന് അധികൃധർ പറയുന്നു.പതിനെട്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ അവസാനം മുതല്‍ അബുദാബിയില്‍
