Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi visited Jharkhand on Friday. He held an interactive session with the Tribal women and also with the representatives of the minorities. Rahul Gandhi also undertook a road show at Hazaribagh.

    Rahul Gandhi held an open discussion in Ranchi, Jharkhand on February 7, 2014 with tribal women who had come to the capital city from all over the state. Rahul Gandhi patiently listened to their concerns and sought suggestions from them.
    The Congress Vice President pledged support to the tribal people of Jharkhand and said, "We will stand with them and fight their battles with them."

    "Adivasi women must be empowered. I want to fight your fight with you and solve your problems," said Rahul Gandhi during the discussion. He added that tribal women have to be empowered with education, health and political rights. He also said that Panchayats need to be further strengthened.
