अमरनाथ यात्रा के लिए श्रद्धालुओं का पहला जत्था बहुस्तरीय सुरक्षा घेरे में बुधवार की सुबह जम्मू के भगवती नगर आधार शिविर से रवाना हुआ. यात्रियों का ये पहला जत्था कश्मीर के दो आधार शिविरों बालटाल और पहलगाम से रवाना हुआ है. इस जत्थे में कुल 1904 श्रद्धालु हैं, जिनमें 1554 पुरुष, 320 महिलाएं और 20 बच्चे शामिल हैं.ये यात्री दिन में कश्मीर के गांदेरबाल स्थित बालटाल और अनंतनाग स्थित नुनवान, पहलगाम आधार शिविर पहुंचेंगे. जिसके बाद ये तीर्थयात्री अगले दिन पैदल ही 3880 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित गुफा मंदिर के लिए रवाना होंगे. इससे तीर्थयात्रा की शुरूआत हो जाएगी. यात्रा का समापन 26 अगस्त को होगा जिस दिन रक्षा बंधन भी है.

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Haj and Auqaf Minister Farooq Andrabi were at the Srinagar Airport to see off the first batch of pilgrims on a direct flight from here to the holy city of Madina, an official said here.

JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Fresh landslide in Udhampur district forced the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Monday.
A Traffic Department official said no traffic would be allowed on the highway following the landslides that occurred on Kheri road in Udhampur.
