Signaux Verts, India is one of the twelve Mega-diverse countries in which 70% of the living species of the earth is concentrated. India's challenge has been to develop judicious policies that will on the one hand protect, preserve and nurture its biodiversity, while also work for poverty alleviation and employment. 'Green Signals' travels to many corners of India to locate efforts at conservation, regeneration and pollution control through policy enactment that takes local people into confidence. The film claims that the policies enacted by the government has had significant impact on reducing degeneration of the environment, in reducing pollution in cities as well as in providing alternative employment.
