Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a meeting of Mahila Congress workers in New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium on Wednesday, said that often men who visit temples and worship “devi”; molest women in buses and other public places. “We need to empower women, give them power and share their pain,” said Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi made this observation while addressing the meeting on the birth anniversary of his father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. "The way Tsunami had come, a Tsunami of Mahila Congress is also to come in Congress. Fill Congress with the strength of women and I will field you from wherever you can fight-be it panchayat, assembly or Parliamentary elections," he said.
