आतापर्यंत आपल्या आणि समाजाच्या मागण्यासाठी शासन दरबारी न्यायहक्कासाठी उपोषण बघितले आहे. मात्र आज परभणी जिल्हा काँग्रेस कमिटीचे अल्पसंख्यांक शहर अध्यक्ष मोहंमद इलियास यांनी जिल्हा कार्यालयासमोर उपोषण न करता चक्क जिल्हाधिकारी यांच्या घरासमोर उपोषणास सुरुवात केली आहे . परभणी शहर मनपाकडून सेवा जेष्ठता यादीतील जेष्ठ कर्मचाऱ्यांना वगळून कनिष्ठ कर्मचाऱ्यांना पदोन्नती कोणत्या आधारे देण्यात आली, याचा जाब विचारण्यासाठी इलियास यांनी दोन वेळेस तक्रार देऊनही त्याची दाखल शासन दरबारी न झाल्यामुळे इलियास यांनी परभणी जिल्हाधिकारी यांच्या शासकीय घरासमोर उपोषणास बसले असून त्यामुळे पोलीस प्रशासन आणि जिल्हा प्रशासनमध्ये एकच खळबळ उडाली आहे
