Monica Lewinsky made her first public appearance in over 10 years at the Forbes Under 30 Summit on Monday, speaking out against the reputation-shredding power of the internet. Now 41, the former White House intern spoke out against cyber bullying, saying that she hoped to help others by sharing her experience. Lewinsky spoke about Tyler Clementi's death after his college roommate streamed a video of the Rutgers student kissing another man. Lewinsky said Clementi's story inspired her to speak out. Lewinsky said, "That tragedy is one of the principal reasons I am standing up here today. While it touched us both, my mother was unusually upset by the story and I wondered why. Eventually it dawned on me - she was back in 1998, back to a time when I was periodically suicidal when she might very easily have lost me, when I too might have been humiliated to death."

    While she has not yet secured a book deal, her apparent attempts to cash in on the affair could rattle the Clinton marriage - and wreck Hillary's bid for the presidency in 2016.
    Speaking to the National Enquirer, her friends said the memoir could even spark further health problems for the former president, who has undergone heart surgeries.
    'Her book could be more than just revenge, it could kill him!' a source said.
    Her bids for a book deal will at least shake Clinton - bringing him crashing down from the success he enjoyed after an energetic speech at the Democratic National Convention earlier this month.

    Monica Lewinsky may be planning a return to the public eye with new memoir about her relationship with former President Bill Clinton, according to reports.




    The former White House intern, who turns 40 next year, is reportedly writing a book that could be worth $12 million.
    As a 21-year-old intern Miss Lewinsky was at the centre of a scandal that engulfed Mr Clinton's presidency and nearly forced him from the White House.
    She co-operated with the British author Andrew Morton on a previous biography called "Monica's Story" which was published in 1999.
    Reports suggest that the new book would include more salacious material about Mr Clinton, and her love letters to him.
    Rumours of a book project surfaced a week ago when the New York Post reported: "We're told Lewinsky has been making the rounds with major publishers, who were all asked to sign nondisclosure agreements to take the meetings," A representative for Miss Lewinsky told the newspaper: "I cannot comment on anything at this point."
    The National Enquirer reported this week that a publishing deal could be worth $12 million.
    Following the scandal Miss Lewinsky worked as a handbag designer, a television correspondent, and reality TV host.
