While addressing election rallies at Maharashtra as part of his campaign for the upcoming assembly electio0ns in the state, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi took pot shots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that after promising "achhe din" (good times), he was now fobbing off the people with the assurance that “jaldi thik ho jayega” (things will be all right soon) along the border with Pakistan.Addressing a rally at Saswad in Pune Rahul Gandhi said that during the Lok Sabha election campaign Mr Modi used to say that he would scare off Pakistan and China. "The last few days have seen ceasefire violations by Pakistan, which had not happened in the last ten years. There are casualties but still Modi says 'jaldi thik ho jayega'," he said. "Our jawans are being killed, our children are being slaughtered," he said. "Earlier achhe din (good times) were promised. Now people laugh at this slogan," said the Congress leader.
