अडाणी ग्रुप ने NDTV, यानि कि "न्यू दिल्ली टेलीविजन लिमिटेड" में 29% हिस्सेदारी खरीद ली है। और ये बात फ़िलहाल यहीं पर रुकती नहीं नज़र आ रही। आपको बता दें कि गौतम अडाणी के समूह ने कहा कि वह एक ओपन ऑफर भी लॉन्च करेंगे, ताकि NDTV की 26% हिस्सेदारी और खरीदी जा सके। हालांकि, सिक्योरिटीज एंड एक्सचेंज बोर्ड को भेजे नोटिस में NDTV ने कहा कि अधिग्रहण की जानकारी उसे नहीं दी गई। NDTV ने दावा किया है कि उसके संस्थापकों, प्रणय रॉय और राधिका रॉय से इस बारे में ना तो कोई बातचीत हुई, नाहि उनसे सहमति ली गई। आपको बता दें कि रॉय दंपती की NDTV में 32.26 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी है। वहीं एनडीटीवी ने इस सिलसिले में एक बयान में कहा कि

Twitter पर आज सुबह से #SupportNDTV नंबर वन ट्रेंड कर रहा है। NDTV की सपोर्ट में जनता Dr Prannoy Roy और channel के स्टार anchor और हाल ही में प्रसिद्ध Ramon Magsaysay award से सम्मानित Ravish Kumar की शानदार और निर्भीक पत्रकारिता की मिसाल दे रहे हैं। Twitter में ट्रेंड होने का कारण - शुक्रवार को NDTV के संस्थापक Prannoy Roy और उनकी पत्नी Radhika Roy को मुंबई हवाई अड्डे पर रोक लिया गया। वे वहां से विदेश के लिए जाने वाले थे। रॉय दम्पति भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों का सामना कर रहे हैं। आपको बता दें 5 जून 2017 को, CBI ने Prannoy Roy और Radhika Roy के परिसरों पर छापा भी मारा था। CBI के मुताबिक, दोनों के खिलाफ 2017 के एक मामले में एजेंसी की ओर से लुकआउट सर्कुलर जारी किया गया था, जिसके चलते उन्हें रोका गया वहीँ NDTV ने इस बारे में एक बयान में कहा कि इन दोनों को CBI द्वारा दो साल पहले चालू किए गए भ्रष्टाचार के एक फर्जी और निराधार मामले के आधार पर रोका गया है। कंपनी ने यह नहीं बताया है कि दोनों कहां जा रहे थे। हालांकि , उसने कहा कि दोनों विदेश यात्रा से 15 अगस्त को लौटने वाले थे।
