    पूरे प्रदेशभर के साथ साथ हमीरपुर शहर के साथ लगते शस्त्र, बुरनाड गांवों की मस्जिद में मुस्लिम समुदाय के लोगों ने ईद उल अजहा का त्यौहार बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया। ईद के पावन अवसर पर लोगों ने एक दूसरे को गले लगाकर ईंद की बधाई दी। इस मुबारक मौके पर जहां नमाज अदा की गई, वहीं अल्लाह से अमन व शांति की दुआएं भी मांगी गईं। सुबह से ही शहर व अन्य राज्यों से काम करने आए मुस्लिम समुदाय के लोगों नें ईद की नमाज अदा की।

    जनपद बिजनौर में महर्षि वाल्मीकि जयंती का पर्व हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया गया। जनपद के विभिन्न कस्बों तथा ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में वाल्मीकि जयंती के अवसर पर शोभायात्रा का भी आयोजन किया गया जिसमें वाल्मीकि समाज के लोगो के साथ साथ अन्य गणमान्य लोगों ने भी भाग लिया।

    धामपुर में भी महर्षि वाल्मीकि जयंती के अवसर पर भव्य शोभायात्रा का आयोजन किया गया। शोभायात्रा का शुभारंभ मुख्य अतिथि धामपुर विधानसभा क्षेत्र से भाजपा विधायक अशोक कुमार राणा और प्रदेश के पूर्व राज्यमंत्री मूलचन्द चैहान ने संयुक्त रूप से फीता काटकर किया। इस अवसर पर वाल्मीकि समाज के लोगो ने कार्यक्रम में आये धामपुर पालिकाध्यक्ष राजू गुप्ता, भाजपा के नगर मण्डल अध्यक्ष राघव शरण गोयल आदि अतिथियों को पगड़ी बांधकर, पटका पहनाकर तथा स्मृति चिन्ह भेंटकर सम्मानित किया गया। शोभायात्रा में महर्षि वाल्मीकि, राधा कृष्ण नृत्य, मां काली का अखाड़ा और सांइ बाबा सहित मनमोहक झांकियां आकर्षण का मुख्य केन्द्र रही। शोभायात्रा नगर के मुख्य मार्गों से होते हुए अपने निर्धारित स्थान पर पहुंचकर सम्पन्न हुई।

    इसी क्रम में जनपद बिजनौर के नहटौर में भी महर्षि वाल्मीकि जयंती के अवसर पर शोभयात्रा का आयोजन किया गया जिसका शुभारंभ चेयरपर्सन पुत्र राजा अंसारी ने फीता काटकर किया। शोभायात्रा का शुभारंभ करने पहुंचे चेयरपर्सन पुत्र राजा अंसारी को वाल्मीकि समाज के लोगो ने पगड़ी पहनाकर तथा स्मृति चिन्ह भेंटकर सम्मानित किया। इस मौके पर राजा अंसारी ने सभी लोगों से आपसी भाईचारे के साथ त्यौहार मनाने की अपील की। शोभायात्रा में मनमोहक और सुन्दर झांकियां नगरवासियो के आकर्षण का मुख्य केन्द्र रही। इस दौरान शोभायात्रा का नगर के विभिन्न स्थानों पर मिष्ठान वितरण कर भव्य स्वागत भी किया गया। शोभायात्रा अपने निर्धारित मार्गों से होते हुए निकाली गई। इस मौके पर वाल्मीकि समाज के लोगो सहित नगर और क्षेत्र के गणमान्य लोग उपस्थित रहे।

    वहीं दूसरी ओर स्योहारा में भी ऐतिहासिक महर्षि वाल्मीकि जी की शोभायात्रा का आयोजन किया गया। वाल्मीकि जयंती के अवसर पर निकाली गई शोभायात्रा से पूर्व नगर की वाल्मीकि बस्ती में हवन यज्ञ का आयोजन किया गया। इस मौके पर उपस्थित अतिथि प्रियंक
