Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi trained his guns on Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he campaigned in Jharkhand. Addressing a rally in Dumka, ahead of the final phase of assembly polls, Rahul Gandhi accused Modi of favouring the rich only. Rahul Gandhi said Modi, during his tenure as chief minister of Gujarat, had gifted vast tracks of land to entrepreneurs at throw-away prices. The congress leader alleged that the Modi government failed to deliver on its promises, including creation of jobs.

    Continuing his tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a huge election rally at Dumka, took on Prime Minister Nrendra Modi and the central government. "In MGNREGA, we gave authority to the panchayat, but he took away power from them, RTI never worked in Gujarat, whatever was done there to the tribals and the land, that is history," Rahul Gandhi said. "There are two ways to run a government. One is to empower the public, give them the authority and second is to run the country from the Centre, from the Prime Minister's Office," he added while emphasizing that his fight in Jharkhand is for the weaker sections of the society.
