    ഇത്തരം പ്രതികൂലമായ കാലാവസ്ഥ അനുദിനം രൂക്ഷമായിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് യൂറോപ്പിലാകമാനം മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം 21 ആയാണ് വര്‍ധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഇന്നലെ സ്വിറ്റ് സര്‍സണ്ടിലെ റസ്റ്റോറന്റിന് മുകളിലേക്ക് കൂറ്റന്‍ മഞ്ഞ് മല ഇടിഞ്ഞ് വീണതിന്റെ ചിത്രങ്ങളും വീഡിയോകളും പുറത്ത് വന്നിരുന്നു. അപകടകരമായ കാലാവസ്ഥയില്‍ സൈക്ലിംഗിനിടയില്‍ മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണവും വര്‍ധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. താപനില മൈനസ് 23 വരെ ആയതോടെ യൂറോപ്യന്‍ രാജ്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം തണുത്ത് വിറയ്ക്കുകയാണ്. വരും ദിനങ്ങളില്‍ ബ്രിട്ടനെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നത് എല്ല് മരവിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കൊടും തണുപ്പാണെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്.
    സ്വിറ്റ്സര്‍ലണ്ടിലെ ഹോട്ടല്‍ സാന്റിസിന് മുകളിലേക്കാണ് കൂറ്റന്‍ മഞ്ഞ് മല ഇടിഞ്ഞ് വീണ് കടുത്ത അപകടമുണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നത്.
    അതിഥികള്‍ ഹോട്ടലിനകത്ത് ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ച്‌ കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്ബോഴായിരുന്നു അത്യാഹിതമുണ്ടായതെന്നതിനാല്‍ കടുത്ത ആശങ്ക ഉടലെടുത്തിരുന്നു. 1000 അടി ഉയരമുള്ള മഞ്ഞുമലയായിരുന്നു കാന്റന്‍ ഓഫ് അപ്പെന്‍സെല്‍ ഓസര്‍ഹോഡെനിലെ സ്‌ക്വാഗല്‍പിലെ ഹോട്ടലിന് മുകളിലേക്ക് നിലം പതിച്ചിരുന്നത്. തല്‍ഫലമായി മൂന്ന് പേര്‍ക്ക് പരുക്കേറ്റിരുന്നു. ഇവിടെ നിന്നും സ്‌കീയര്‍മാരെ റെസ്‌ക്യൂ ടീം തത്സമയം നീക്കുകയും ആരെയെങ്കിലും കാണാതായിട്ടുണ്ടോയെന്ന ആശങ്കയാല്‍ കടുത്ത തിരച്ചില്‍ നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
    വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച നാലിലധികം പേരാണ് പ്രതികൂലമായ കാലാവസ്ഥയില്‍ മരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
    മ്യൂണിച്ചില്‍ നദിയിലേക്ക് വാഹനം മറിഞ്ഞ് മരിച്ച സ്നോപ്ലോ ഡ്രൈവറും ഇതില്‍ പെടുന്നു. ബള്‍ഗേറിയയില്‍ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച രണ്ട് സ്നോബോര്‍ഡര്‍മാര്‍ മഞ്ഞിടിഞ്ഞ് മരിച്ചിരുന്നു. മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകള്‍ അവഗണിച്ച്‌ നീങ്ങിയതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് ഇവരെ തേടി അത്യാഹിതമെത്തിയതെന്നാണ് റെഡ്ക്രോസ് വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നത്. സൗത്ത് വെസ്റ്റേണ്‍ പിറിന്‍ പര്‍വതനിരയിലെ മഞ്ഞിടിഞ്ഞുള്ള അപകടത്തിലാണ് ഇവര്‍ക്ക് ജീവന്‍ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടത്. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച അല്‍ബേനിയയില്‍ വൈദ്യുതി ലൈനുകളുടെ അറ്റകുറ്റപ്പ
