The Obama administration has no evidence to back up a claim by Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime that the U.S.-backed Syrian rebels used chemical weapons, the White House said Tuesday.

    ശ്വാസകോശത്തിലെത്തിയാല്‍ ക്ലോറിന്‍ വാതകം ഹൈഡ്രോക്ലോറിക് ആസിഡായി മാറും. ഇതു നിശബ്ദ മരണത്തിലേക്കാണ് നയിക്കുക. കുട്ടികളാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഇരകള്‍. വിമതര്‍ക്കെതിരെ ഏഴു വര്‍ഷമായി തുടരുന്ന യുദ്ധത്തിനിടെ ഇന്നേവരെയില്ലാത്ത വിധത്തിലുള്ള ആക്രമണമാണു സിറിയ അഴിച്ചുവിടുന്നത്. ഇതിനു റഷ്യയുടെ പിന്തുണയുമുണ്ട്. 2012 മുതല്‍ വിമതസേനയുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലുള്ള കിഴക്കന്‍ ഗൂട്ടയാണു ദമാസ്‌കസിനു സമീപമുള്ള വിമതരുടെ അവസാന ശക്തികേന്ദ്രം. പ്രസിഡന്റ് ബഷാര്‍ അല്‍ അസദിന്റെ സിറിയന്‍ സൈന്യം ഈ പ്രദേശം തിരിച്ചുപിടിക്കാനുള്ള തീവ്രശ്രമത്തിലാണ്.
