Shravan Ashtami Mela | 100 CCTV Cameras | Shri Naina Devi |
During the Shravan Ashtami fair at Shaktipeeth Shri Naina Devi, around 100 CCTV cameras are being monitored under the new system. Lakhs of devotees reach Shri Naina Devi every year to have darshan of the mother. At the same time, there is an influx of devotees in the Shravan Ashtami fair. Devotees from other states including Punjab, Haryana, UP reach. But many devotees do not follow the rules. For this, instructions have been given to the police officers to follow the procedure as per rules. About 700 police personnel and home guard jawans have been deployed in the fairs.

The Shravan Ashtami Navratri fair started on Thursday morning with formal worship in the court of Mata Shri Chintpurni and Shri Naina Devi. The priest class of the temple started this holy fair of Mata by offering oblations in Havan Yagya. Mata's temple is decorated like a bride with colorful flowers. On the very first day of Navratri fair of Shravan Ashtami, hundreds of devotees visited the holy Pindi of Mata.
