Tikendra Panwar, former deputy mayor of Municipal Corporation Shimla, has sat on Shimla's historic ridge on a 24-hour hunger strike to spread awareness about the devastation caused by the monsoon season in Himachal Pradesh. They believe that this destruction is the result of human tampering with the mountains and nature. After which there is a need to reconsider this model of development being adopted in the Himalayas.
