Bilaspur (Himachal) : On the third day of the 10 day Jaltarang Boating Camp of HP Naval Unit NCC Bilaspur, the cadets, after running for three kilometers and doing physical exercise Govindsagar took three sailing boats, two rescue boats and one safety boat in the lake and left for Kandaur. Cadets also learned the nuances of sailing under the supervision of instructors. During this, the cadets rowed about 30 kilometers to Kandaur by boat. Despite sailing continuously for two days, great enthusiasm was seen among the Naval NCC cadets.

    Una (Himachal Pradesh) : Four people drowned after boat capsized in Govind Sagar Lake in Kolka Khanoh falling under the Bangana subdivision of district Una in Himachal Pradesh. Migratory birds are considering Govind these places as their favorite destinations. Nowadays, there are about 10 to 12 species of migratory birds in Govind Sagar lake and swan river. These days highest-flying bar-headed Goose has been seen in the Gobind Sagar, while migratory birds of other species, including the Black Wing Steamed, have been seen in the Swan River. Previously the favorite place of these migratory birds used to be Pong Lake of Kangra, but for the last few years, migratory birds have also chosen the peaceful Gobind Sagar and Swan River as better places for themselves.
