  • Let us meet 'Lankapati' of Surat

    દેશની એકમાત્ર સરનેમ લંકાપતિનો ઇતિહાસ. એક મહારાજના કટાક્ષનાં કારણે લંકાપતિ સરનેમ અસ્તિત્વમાં આવી હતી. લંકાપતિ સરનેમનો ઇતિહાસ જણાવતા મિતુલ લંકાપતિના કહેવા અનુસાર જ્યારે ઈ.સ. 1700ની આસપાસ સુરત સિટીને બદલે નાના નાના ગામો હતા ત્યારે સલાબતપુરા પાસે મિતુલના દાદાના પરદાદા કાલિદાસ ગોટાવાલા રામમંદિર પાસે વસવાટ કરતા હતા અને રોજ રાત્રે જમ્યા પછી રામમંદિરના ચોરા પર મંદિરના મહારાજનો સત્સંગ સાંભળવા જતા હતા. કાલિદાસ ગોટાવાલા પોતાની ભરાવદાર મૂછ અને મજબૂત કદકાઠીના હતા. પરંતુ એક દિવસ રાતના સત્સંગમાં કોઈ કારણોસર પહોંચ્યા નહીં અને મંદિરના મહારાજને તેમનું નામ યાદ નહીં હોવાથી એમના કદ અને મૂછો પરથી લોકોને એમ પૂછ્યું કે પેલા લંકાપતિ રાવણ જેવા દેખાય છે તે આજે કેમ નથી આવ્યા. ત્યારથી લોકો તેમને લંકાપતિ રાવણના નામથી બોલાવતા હતા. આ રીતે કાલિદાસ ગોટાવાલાની સરનેમ લંકાપતિ પડી હતી.
    હાલ સુરતના વેસુ વિસ્તારમાં વસવાટ કરાવતા મિતુલ લંકાપતિને લોકો રાવણના નામથી બોલાવે છે અને તેમના પુત્રને છોટા રાવણથી લોકો ઓળખે છે. હાલ તેમના નામની સાથે ગોટાવાલા સરનેમની જગ્યા પર ઑફિશિયલ રીતે લંકાપતિ સરનેમ લાગે છે. મિતુલ એક ડ્રામા આર્ટિસ્ટ છે અને તેનામાં મલ્ટી એક્ટરનું ટૅલેન્ટ રહેલું છે અને આ ટૅલેન્ટના કારણે ઘણીવાર તેને મલ્ટી રોલવાળા ડ્રામા પણ કર્યા છે. ડ્રામાના બેનરોમાં લંકાપતિ રાવણના 10 માથાવાળા ફોટાની જેમ મિતુલ લંકાપતિની પ્રતિભા જોઈ 5 માથાવાળો મિતુલ લંકાપતિ દેખાડવામાં આવે છે. તેમણે વધુમાં કહ્યું કે રાવણ નામના કારણે અમે ખૂબ ગૌરવ અનુભવીએ છીએ કારણકે જ્યારે મિતુલ તેમના ફેમિલી સાથે સાઉથમાં ફરવા ગયો હતો ત્યારે એક હોટેલમાં લંકાપતિ સરનેમના કારણે તેમનું સન્માન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. આમ ઘણી વાર લોકો એમને પૂછે કે તમે લંકાપતિ એટલે

Today in Bilaspur, women distributed sweets to each other in happiness and also thanked CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Along with this, one of the guarantees of Sukh government has also been fulfilled. The notification of this scheme was issued in the month of March. But due to the election code of conduct, many women could not apply for it. After the government got permission from the Election Commission, the process of filling the form was started again. At the same time, after the removal of the model code of conduct, now women have received the amount of Rs. 4500 at once.
