    രാജ്യത്തെ ദേശീയ പാതകളിലെ ടോള്‍ബൂത്തുകളില്‍ വിഐപികള്‍ക്കും സിറ്റിങ് ജഡ്ജിമാര്‍ക്കും വേണ്ടി പ്രത്യേക വരിയുണ്ടായിരിക്കണമെന്ന് മദ്രാസ് ഹൈക്കോടതി.


    സിറ്റിംഗ് ജഡ്ജുമാരായിട്ടും ദിവസവും പത്തുംപതിനഞ്ചും മിനിറ്റുകള്‍ ടോള്‍ബൂത്തില്‍ ചെലവഴിക്കേണ്ടി വരിക എന്നത് നിര്‍ഭാഗ്യകരമാണെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ചാണ് ഹൈവേ അതോറിറ്റിക്കാണ് കോടതി നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.ഇന്നലെയാണ് ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള നിര്‍ദേശം മദ്രാസ് ഹൈക്കോടതി ദേശീയ ഹൈവേ അതോറിറ്റിക്ക് നല്‍കിയത്. ജസ്റ്റിസ് ഹുലുവാഡി ജി രമേഷ്, ജസ്റ്റിസ് എംവി മുരളീധരന്‍ എന്നിവരടങ്ങിയ ബെഞ്ചിന്റെതാണ് ഉത്തരവ്.രാജ്യവ്യാപകമായി ദേശീയ പാതകളില്‍ ഇത് നടപ്പാക്കണമെന്നാണ് നിര്‍ദേശം. ദേശീയ പാതകളിലുള്ള ടോള്‍ പ്ലാസകള്‍ക്ക് ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ച സര്‍ക്കുലര്‍ നല്‍കണമെന്നും ഹൈക്കോടതിയുടെ ഉത്തരവില്‍ പറയുന്നു.ഉത്തരവ് ലംഘിച്ചാല്‍ കോടതിയലക്ഷ്യ നടപടി നേരിടേണ്ടിവരുമെന്നും ടോള്‍ പ്ലാസകള്‍ക്ക് കോടതി മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.ടോള്‍ പ്ലാസകളില്‍ നിര്‍ത്തി വിഐപിയാണെന്ന ഐഡന്റിറ്റി തെളിയിക്കാന്‍ സമയമേറെ എടുക്കുന്നത് ഒഴിവാക്കാനാണ് ഹൈക്കോടതിയുടെ നിര്‍ദേശം.

    The Women’s World Cup warm-up game between India and South Africa concluded, however, not before generating its share of confusion owing to a gaffe by the International Cricket Council. Post the game ended the ICC amended the scorecard of the match on numerous occasions, creating confusion with regards to the outcome of the said fixture.

    To start with, the scorecard mentioned that South Africa beat India by four wickets. However, within the next half hour, a scoresheet of the match went viral on social media stating it was India who had won the game by a narrow margin of two runs. A few minutes later, the ICC website also happened to update the scorecard and it eventually showed India as winners.

    The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to commence on March 26 with four-time winners Chennai Super Kings taking on the 2021 runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium, as the league marks a detour from the norm of defending champions featuring in the tournament opener at their home ground.

    If that tradition, running since 2009, were to continue, the 2021 winners Chennai Super Kings would have played at the Chepauk. However, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2022 IPL has been restricted to only four venues across two cities, with three stadia in Mumbai – Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium – set to host 55 league games and the other 15 scheduled at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium (MCA) in Pune.

    Ravindra Jadeja played a crucial knock in the second T20I against Sri Lanka to help the men in blue secure a series victory and he credited skipper Rohit Sharma for his batting promotion. The all-rounder also bowled four overs conceding 37 runs and picked up the important wicket of Danushka Gunathilaka at a stage when Sri Lanka was running away with the game.
