    శ్రీశైలం ప్రాజెక్ట్ డ్యామ్ 10క్రస్ట్గేట్లను 10 అడుగుల మేరకు తెరవడంతో కృష్ణమ్మ అందాలను తిలకించేందుకు రెండు తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల నుంచి పర్యాటకులు అధిక సంఖ్యలో శ్రీశైలానికి తరలి వచ్చారు.తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం నుండి భక్తులు అధిక సంఖ్యలో వాహనాల్లో తరలి రావడంతో శ్రీశైలం డ్యామ్ వద్ద ట్రాఫిక్ జామ్ అయింది. వరుస సెలవు దినాలు కావడంతో పర్యాటకులు లక్షల సంఖ్యలో శ్రీశైలానికి తరలి వచ్చారు.ప్రస్తుతం శ్రీశైలం లో కి 2లక్షల 60 వేల క్యూసెక్కులు ప్రవాహం వస్తుంది.ఎగువ కురుస్తున్న భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా నారాయణపూర్ ప్రాజెక్ట్ నుంచి 3లక్షల క్యూసెక్కుల ప్రవాహాన్ని క్రిందకు వదిలారు. ఆ నీటిని యదార్థంగా జూరాల నుంచి క్రిందికి వదులుతున్నారు.తుంగభద్రనది నుండి 64 వేల క్యూసెక్కుల నీరు అదనంగా చేరుతుంది. శ్రీశైలంలో ఇప్పటికే 200 టీఎంసీల నీరు ఉంది. ఎగువ రాష్ట్రాల నుండి వరద ఎక్కువ రావడంతో శ్రీశైలంలోని 10 క్రస్ట్ గేట్లను 10 అడుగుల పైకి ఎత్తి దిగువన ఉన్న నాగార్జునసాగర్ కి నీటిని విడుదల చేస్తున్నారు.కుడిగట్టు విద్యుత్ కేంద్రంలో విద్యుత్ ఉత్పత్తి చేసి30,236క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని,ఎడమగట్టు విద్యుత్ కేంద్రంలో విద్యుత్ ఉత్పత్తి చేసి 40,259క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని,మల్యాల ఎత్తిపోతల పథకానికి2026క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని,పోతిరెడ్డిపాడు హెడ్ రెగ్యులేటర్కు 34000 క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని, మేజర్ గ్రిడ్ కల్వకుర్తి లిఫ్ట్ ఇరిగేషన్ కు 2400క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని, శ్రీశైలం డ్యాం గేట్ల ద్వారా 3,65,790క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని కలుపుకొని మ
