    हिमाचल से उद्योगों का पलायन रोकने के लिए सरकार बिजली शुल्क में 6 फीसदी तक कटौती कर सकती है। सितंबर में उद्योगों के लिए बिजली शुल्क 11 से बढ़ाकर 19 फीसदी कर दिया गया था, इसे कम कर 13 फीसदी करने का प्रस्ताव है। वजह यह है कि जम्मू-कश्मीर, पंजाब, हरियाणा और उत्तर प्रदेश में हिमाचल के मुकाबले उद्योगों को अधिक रियायतें दी जा रही हैं। विशेष तौर पर विद्युत ड्यूटी और जीएसटी रिटर्न को लेकर बाहरी राज्य उद्योगों को आकर्षित हो रहे हैं। सरकार का मानना है कि बिजली शुल्क में कटौती से उद्योगपति बाहरी राज्यों का रुख नहीं करेंगे। बीबीएन के उद्योगपति बिजली शुल्क में बढ़ोतरी के अलावा प्रदेश में ट्रांसपोर्टेशन के अधिक खर्चे और यूनियनों की दखलअंदाजी से असंतुष्ट हैं। हिमाचल में उद्योगों को कच्चा माल बाहरी राज्यों से मंगवाना पड़ता है। उद्योग मंत्री हर्षवर्धन चौहान का कहना है कि पलायन रोकने के लिए विद्युत ड्यूटी 6 फीसदी तक कम करने का प्रस्ताव है। सीएम से इस मामले में बात हो चुकी है।
