* AT 526 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A
TORNADO WAS LOCATED 3 MILES EAST OF GRAINOLA OVER NORTHERN OSAGE
COUNTY...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

* THE TORNADO WILL OTHERWISE REMAIN OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF THE
INDICATED COUNTY...

OKLAHOMA CITY -Before the first thunderstorm even formed over Oklahoma, forecasters were using ominous language to describe violent weather they're expecting.
The Storm Prediction Center on Friday labeled a tornado watch as a "particularly dangerous situation," language set aside for the worst storm systems. Forecasters are predicting numerous tornadoes, including several strong ones. Hail could be the size of grapefruits -- 4 inches in diameter.

Bad weather is also expected in parts of southeastern Kansas and southwestern Missouri, but meteorologists reserved the strongest terms for Oklahoma.

    Tornado warning issued for Edmonton and area

    An alert was issued earlier in the day for the city of Edmonton and some surrounding areas as a tornado appeared to have touched down near Pigeon Lake, which is south of Edmonton, according to the Edmonton Journal.

    “I’ve seen cold funnel before, but nothing like this,” Tony Monea told the newspaper.

    Residents are advised to take cover or in a “sturdy, permanent building or underground” if a tornado approaches.

    “If you see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately,” the Environment Canada warning says.

    McEntire was just one of many performers at the Healing in the Heartland concert in Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena, which benefited those whose lives were impacted by the tornadoes that ravaged parts of the state on May 20. The one-hour show, organized by country artist and Oklahoma native Blake Shelton, featured a number of musicians, all of whom urged viewers to donate to United Way's tornado relief fund by texting, calling or visiting the organization's Facebook page.
    Shelton kicked off the evening with a heartfelt performance of "God Gave Me You," he and his backing band donned in black. "But you stay here beside me / Watch as the storm blows through / And I need you," he sang, before explaining the methods viewers and attendees could follow to donate to the relief efforts.
    Shelton wasn't the only Oklahoma native to perform. Fellow country star Vince Gill served up one of the more poignant moments of the evening. "It's sure good to be home. I'd like to do this song for 24 people that didn't make it," Gill said

    It was hard to watch Lambert's performance of "The House That Built Me" without get choked up, because she herself struggled to finish the song.
    At one point, the camera did a close-up of the country crooner, who was welling up with tears and had to stop singing for a few moments to regain her composure.
    Miranda mouthed, "Sorry" to the crowd, who continued to cheer her on. Lambert's raw and sensitive delivery definitely did not need an apology, and touched many of those who witnessed it—including fellow singers.
    "Just re-watched @mirandalambert on #HealOK. Love your tender heart, Miranda—thank you for sharing your love for OK & those sweet animals," Sheryl Crowe tweeted.
