Andrew Garfield Pitches Male MJ For Spider-Man

We all know that when a studio adapts a comic book into a movie, they do take some creative liberties with the story. Some changes are received pretty well by the fans like Sam Raimi's organic web shooters in Spider-Man, and some changes don't go over too well at all like The Mandarin in Iron Man 3. But if are not a fan of change, you may need to brace yourself because it sounds like there have been talks of a big change in the story for the next Spiderman movie. But first let me catch you up to speed. As many of you know, there has been a lot of drama surrounding the casting of Mary Jane Watson lately. Shailene Woodley was cut from The Amazing Spiderman 2 as Mary Jane Watson. And from the way it sounded, it seemed like it was more of a story line change, rather than any kind of personal drama with Woodley. And it was rumored that director Marc Webb did want to bring her back for one of the slatted follow up movies. Then, there were all of these reports that Cosmopolis and Antiviral actress Sarah Gadon, was going to be joining the cast and taking over acting duties from Woodley as the new Mary Jane Watson. But Gadon later tweeted that she was not going to be playing MJ. None of this was confirmed, and today it sounds like Spiderman himself is pitching a new version of the character to Sony.
