Brooke Burke Charvet just revealed some sad news. The Dancing With The Stars host has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and will undergo surgery very soon. She says not to worry, she is feeling fine.

Brooke Burke-Charvet was resting Thursday after successful surgery to remove her thyroid gland, which had a cancerous polyp.
"I'm resting, recovering," the "Dancing With the Stars" co-host tweeted early in the day. "Surgery went well. Dr Adashek is a genius. Thx Dr! Feels like I got hit [by] a car :("
"Thank God it's over. I'm clean, surgery went well & I can talk. Losing My voice was my biggest fear. Thx for all your prayers & light."
The 41-year-old kept tweeting through the day, relaying that she was spending time with family and icing her neck, the site of the surgery. The mother of four was also "trying to be still in a hectic house," something she said she was not used to.
Burke-Charvet went public with her condition in early November, making a video for fans in which she explained what was up. Since then, she has said, she's received tremendous support from fans and others who've gone through a thyroidectomy. Brooke Burke-Charvet paid a visit to Good Morning America on Tuesday to reveal the scar from her thyroidectomy, a procedure she had to undergo to treat her thyroid cancer. One month after surgery, the Dancing with the Stars host proudly showed off her makeup free wound during a sit down interview to discuss the importance of getting checked out and being cautious. Plus, Brooke is back to work with two new workout DVDs.

Brooke Burke-Charvet is sharing her tips on aging gracefully and staying healthy now that she's beaten her thyroid cancer.
The "Dancing With the Stars" co-host revealed her cancer diagnosis in early November through a video posted on her blog. She was diagnosed after 10 biopsies, she said. Burke-Charvet underwent surgery in early December and shared the news a week later that she was cancer-free. By January, she was exposing her surgery scar on "Good Morning America."
She said she beat her cancer by having a strong support system from her family and team and keeping a postiive attitude. And, at 41, the former Playboy model and mother of four is getting real about her health, diet and aging for Health magazine's cover.
"The 40s are a reality check. That's when some people are trying to look 25," she told the mag. "I would like to slow down my aging process, but I don't want to look like a pumpkin, all swollen! I don't want to fill every flaw in my face. A few? But you have to embrace Mother Nature a little. I'm a woman. I'm a wife. I'm a mother of four. I don't want to look like a 25-year-old anymore. I want to be my best healthy self."

Brooke Burke cancer: 'I don't want mommy to die,' son told her
Brooke Burke's thyroid cancer was revealed at the beginning of November and in a Dec. 5 Us Weekly report, the actress explained how it went telling her children about her condition.
"I decided not to tell my children about my diagnosis for as long as I possibly could because I didn't want them to worry," wrote in her Modern Mom Blog. "I know that my younger ones still don't have a great concept of time and I didn't want them to be anxious, worried and asking 1,000 questions."
Brooke's older children are Neriah, 12, and Sierra, 10 from a previous marriage. Neriah cried and worried about whether her mother would be alright. The "Dancing with the Stars" co-host said Sierra was "very factual and scientific."
The 41-year-old star's youngest children with current husband, David Charvet -- Rain, 5, and Shaya, 4 -- didn't deal with the cancer news as well.
"I don't want mommy to die," her youngest son said.
Brooke Burke said that kind of reaction to her cancer "breaks her heart" and that's why she avoided telling them for so long.
Brooke has thyroid surgery this week. She shared in her blog that she's already done the grocery shopping, stocked the house, made meals ready to heat up, and arranged the kids' schedules.
