लखनऊ ; इस्लामी विद्वान मौलाना कलीम सिद्दीकी को आतंकवाद रोधी दस्ता (एटीएस) की एक टीम ने गिरफ्तार किया है. बीती रात लगभग 9 बजे मौलाना कलीम सिद्दिकी को उत्तर प्रदेश एटीएस द्वारा मेरठ से गिरफ्तार किया गया. पुलिस ने बताया है कि मौलाना के ट्रस्ट के खाते में एकमुश्त 1.5 करोड़ रुपया बहरीन से आया है.
यूपी एडीजी (कानून-व्यवस्था) प्रशांत कुमार ने इस पूरे मामले को लेकर बुधवार को एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की. उन्होंने बताया, जांच में ये सामने आया कि मौलाना कलीम सिद्दिकी अवैध धर्मांतरण के कार्य में लिप्त है और कई प्रकार की शौक्षणिक, सामाजिक, धार्मिक संस्थाओं की आड़ में यह देशव्यापी स्तर पर किया जा रहा है, जिसके लिए विदेशों से भारी फंडिंग प्राप्त की जा रही है. सबूतों से ये प्रमाणित हुआ है कि यह भारत का सबसे बड़ा धर्मांतरण सिंडिकेट संचालित करता है, गैर मुस्लिमों को गुमराह करके,डराकर धर्मांतरित करता है. एडीजी प्रशांत कुमार ने कहा, "20 जून को अवैध धर्मांतरण गिरोह संचालित करने वाले लोग गिरफ्तार गिए गए थे. इस संबंध में मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया था. उमर गौतम और इसके साथियों को ब्रिटिश आधारित संस्था से लगभग 57 करोड़ रुपये की फंडिंग की गई थी. जिसके खर्च का ब्योरा अभियुक्त नहीं दे पाए. इस संबंध में आज के अभियुक्त को छोड़कर कुल 10 लोग गिरफ्तार हुए थे जिसमें से 6 के खिलाफ विभिन्न तिथियों में चार्जशीट दाखिल की जा चुकी है, 4 के खिलाफ जांच चल रही है."
