उत्तर प्रदेश विधान परिषद (एमएलसी) चुनाव से पहले नेता सुरक्षित ठिकाने की तलाश में जुट गए हैं. ऐसे में नेताओं की पहली पसंद बीजेपी बन रही है, क्योंकि उन्हें सत्ता में रहने का सियासी फायदा मिलने की उम्मीद है. इसी कड़ी में सपा के चार विधान परिषद सदस्यों ने बीजेपी की सदस्यता ग्राहण की है. 2022 के चुनाव से पहले बीजेपी ने सपा को बड़ा झटका दिया है.
सपा के चार विधान परिषद सदस्यों रविशंकर सिंह पप्पू, सीपी चंद, रमा निरंजन और नरेंद्र भाटी ने बुधवार को बीजेपी का दामन थाम लिया है. सपा छोड़कर बीजेपी में शामिल होने वाले चार नेता निकाय क्षेत्रों के द्वारा एमएलसी हैं. माना जा रहा है कि बीजेपी इन चारों सदस्यों को निकाय क्षेत्र एमएलसी चुनाव में उतार सकती है, क्योंकि ये सभी दिग्गज हैं और अपने-अपने इलाके के मजबूत नेता माने जाते हैं.
