शिवचरित्रकार महाराष्ट्र भूषण बाबासाहेब पुरंदरे यांच्या जाण्याने अनेक चाहत्यांना दुःख झाले आहे. त्यांच्याशी बाबासाहेब पुरंदरे यांचा नागरशी खूप जवळचा संबंध होता दोन वेळा त्यांनी जाणता राजा हे प्रसिद्ध नाट्य आणले होते त्यावेळी जागरूक नागरिक मंचचे सुहास भाई मुळे हे या नाटकाचे संयोजक होते. नगर मध्ये जनता राजाचे नाट्य प्रयोग यशस्वी करण्यात त्यांनी महत्वाची भूमिका बजावली होती. तेव्हा पासून मुळे हे पुरंदरना मानत होते. मुळे यांच्या विनंतीला मन देऊन त्यांच्या दोन पुस्तकांच्या प्रकाशनासाठी नगरला हजेरी लावली होती. यानिमित्ताने त्यांनी बाबासाहेब पुरंदरेंच्या आठवणीला उजाळा दिला. जागरूक नागरिक मंचच्या वतीने त्यांना श्रद्धांजली वाहण्यात आली
