    अफज़लगढ़ क्षेत्र के गांव कादराबाद स्थित पंचायत घर में चैधरी चरण सिंह की जयंती किसान दिवस के रूप में मनाई गई।
    सन 1979 से 1980 के बीच भारत के प्रधानमंत्री रहे चैधरी चरण सिंह को किसानों का मसीहा कहा जाता है। जिनके जन्म दिवस को देश में हर वर्ष 23 दिसम्बर को किसान दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इसी क्रम में कादराबाद स्थित पंचायत घर में भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री चैधरी चरण सिंह की जयंती हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाई गई। इस मौेके पर जयंती समारोह में उपस्थित लोगों ने चैधरी चरण सिंह के चित्र के समक्ष पुष्प अर्पित कर उन्हें नमन किया। साथ ही वक्ताओं ने सभी को उनके जीवन पर प्रकाश डालते हुए विस्तृत जानकारी दी और उनके आदर्शों पर चलने का आह्वान किया। इस अवसर पर ग्राम प्रधान कैलाश सिंह, पूर्व प्रधान अयोध्या प्रसाद आदि सहित दर्जनों किसान और क्षेत्र के गणमान्य लोग उपस्थित रहे।
