ORDER OF KURNOOL COLLECTOR ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN AGAINST SARPANCH & OFFICIAL WHO NEGLECTED GREENERY

District Collector Yal said action should be taken against the sarpanch and officials who neglected the greenery. Sherman warned. If there are no plants along the village main road, the concerned village sarpanch, panchayat secretary and zonal development officer will be held responsible, he said. On Tuesday morning, Nagar Kurnool along with the authorities inspected the plants planted in the greenery along the Kalvakurthi main road. Relevant dial POs were ordered to be done. The plants were examined along the National Highway from Guntakodur, Allapur, Lingampally, Medipur, Shuddhakal, Tummalapalli, Tarnikal, Kotra, Veladanda and Peddapur. There were no plants in most places and the tall plants were ordered to complete the planting target within a week. In addition to the 6 plants given to each house, one mango plant was ordered to be handed over to the house owner by the authorities in front of each house. Authorities ordered a case to be registered against those who removed the planted plants and ate the goats. He warned that action would be taken against the officials along with the snakes if the plants were not planted at the expected level till the next return. Collector Kotra, who had planted saplings on the national highway in some villages, expressed his displeasure by refusing to plant saplings in Veladanda village. He said that the plants should be planted well as well as the Sarpanches who have done well in government development works like sanitation in the village would be honored on Independence Day and action should be taken if neglected.
