    राज्य प्रशासन ने कश्मीर के पर्यटन स्थलों पर विशेषकर पहलगाम और सोनमर्ग में वाटर राफ्टिंग पर रोक लगा दी है।यह कदम दक्षिण कश्मीर के पहलगाम में लिद्दर दरिया में राफ्टिंग के दौरान हुए हादसों में तीन लोगों की मौत के बाद उठाया गया है। पर्यटन निदेशक कश्मीर ने आदेश जारी करते हुए कहा कि पर्यटकों व अन्य लोगों की सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए सभी पयर्टन स्थलों विशेषकर पहलगाम और सोनमर्ग में राफ्टिंग पर रोक लगाई जाती है। ये आदेश तब तक है जब तक वाटर राफ्टिंग के लिए पर्याप्त मजबूत व्यवस्था व सुरक्षा प्रबंध पूरी तरह से बहाल नहीं किए जाते, तब तक वाटर राफ्टिंग बंद रहेगी। इस आदेश के बाद राफ्टिंग के अधिकारीयों ने राज्य प्रशासन के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोल दिया और वे इस के विरोध में उतर गए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि वे इस फैसले के खिलाफ सड़कों पर उतरेंगे।
