    ഇന്ത്യ-ചൈന അതിര്‍ത്തി തര്‍ക്കം പരിഹരിക്കുകയെന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ ഇരുകക്ഷികളും തമ്മില്‍ ക്രിയാത്മക ചര്‍ച്ച നടന്നതായി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. ചൈനയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ചൈനീസ് സ്‌റ്റേറ്റ് കൗണ്‍സിലര്‍ വാങ് യിയും ഇന്ത്യയില്‍നിന്ന് ദേശീയ സുരക്ഷാ ഉപദേഷ്ടാവ് അജിത് ഡോവലുമാണ് തെക്ക്പടിഞ്ഞാറന്‍ സിച്വാന്‍ പ്രവിശ്യയില്‍ ശനിയാഴ്ച നടന്ന ചര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തത്. അതിര്‍ത്തി തര്‍ക്കത്തില്‍ ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളും പരസ്പര വിട്ടുവീഴ്ചയോടെ തീരുമാനത്തിലെത്താന്‍ ചര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ ധാരണയായതായി ചൈനീസ് വിദേശകാര്യ വക്താവ് ഗെങ് ഷുവാങ് പറഞ്ഞു. നിയന്ത്രണ രേഖയില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ വ്യക്തത വരുത്താനും ഉഭയകക്ഷി കരാറുകള്‍ ശക്തമാക്കാനും ചര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. 3,488 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വരുന്ന നിയന്ത്രണ രേഖയില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയും ചൈനയും തമ്മില്‍ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യാനന്തരം നിരവധി തര്‍ക്കങ്ങളുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. തെക്കന്‍ ടിബറ്റിന്റെ ഭാഗമാണ് അരുണാചല്‍ പ്രദേശെന്ന ചൈനീസ് അവകാശവാദം പലപ്പോഴും ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധത്തില്‍ വിള്ളല്‍ വീഴ്ത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
