അക്കൗണ്ടുണ്ട്....പക്ഷേ....

രാജ്യത്തെ 80% ആളുകള്‍ക്ക് ബാങ്ക് അക്കൗണ്ട്


രാജ്യത്തെ 19 കോടി ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ബാങ്ക് അക്കൗണ്ടില്ലെന്ന് ലോകബാങ്ക്.

ലോകബാങ്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം പുറത്തിറക്കിയ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടിലാണ് ഇക്കാര്യമുള്ളത്. അതേ സമയം 2014 വരെ വെറും 53 ശതമാനമായിരുന്നത് ഉപഭോക്താക്കളുടെ എണ്ണം 2017ല്‍ എത്തിയപ്പോഴേക്കും, 5ല്‍4 ഇന്ത്യക്കാരും അക്കൗണ്ടുകള്‍ എടുത്തവരായി മാറിയെന്നും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടിലുണ്ട്. രാജ്യത്തെ 80 ശതമാനത്തിന് സ്വന്തമായി ബാങ്ക് അക്കൗണ്ട് എന്ന നേട്ടം കൈവരിക്കാന്‍ കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ ജന്‍ധന്‍, ആധാര്‍ പദ്ധതികളിലൂടെ സാധിച്ചതായും ലോക ബാങ്കിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ ഗ്ലോബല്‍ ഫിന്‍ഡെക്‌സ് ഡേറ്റാബേസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.എല്ലാവരെയും ബാങ്ക് അക്കൗണ്ട് ഉടമകളാക്കുകയെന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെയാണ് പ്രധാന്‍മന്ത്രി ജന്‍ധന്‍ യോജന പദ്ധതി 2014ല്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചത്.
