ബഹിരാകാശത്തും കൃഷി?

106 ഇനങ്ങള്‍ കൃഷി ചെയ്യാനാണു നീക്കം. ഇതില്‍ കാബേജ്, ചീര ഇനങ്ങള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടും.

ശാസ്ത്ര സംകേതിക വിദ്യകള്‍ അതിവേഗം പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്.. ഇനി അടുത്ത ഘട്ടം ഇതാ ബഹിരാകാശത്ത് കൃഷി.ബഹിരാകാശത്ത് കൃഷിചെയ്യാന്‍ തയ്യാറെടുക്കുകയാണ് നാസ. അടുത്ത തലമുറയില ബഹിരാകാശ സഞ്ചാരികളെ ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടാണ് പദ്ധതി. ബഹിരാകാശ യാത്രയില്‍ ഉണക്കി സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ഭക്ഷണങ്ങളാണ് ആശ്രയം. എന്നാല്‍ ഇതിന്റെ അഭാവം പരിഹരിക്കനായിട്ടാണ് ബഹിരാകാശത്ത് കൃഷി എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തിലേക്ക് നാസയെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത്.പക്ഷേ ഈ ലക്ഷ്യം നിറവേറ്റണമെങ്കില്‍ ഒട്ടേറെ കടമ്പകളാണ് നാസയ്ക്ക് മുന്നിലുള്ളത്. ഗുരുത്വാകര്‍ഷണത്തിന്റെ അഭാവത്തില്‍ വേരുകള്‍ക്ക് വളരാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല. വെള്ളം തളിച്ചാലും മണ്ണില്‍ കലരാന്‍ സാധിക്കുന്നില്ല. വിത്തുകള്‍ പറന്നുപോകാതിരിക്കാന്‍ മണ്ണില്‍ കെട്ടിയിടണം തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി കടമ്പകളാണ് നാസക്ക് മുന്നിലുള്ളത്.ഇതിന്റെ ആദ്യ ചുവടായി 150 സ്‌കൂളുകളില്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളുടെ സഹായത്തോടെ ബഹിരാകാശത്തേതിനു തുല്യമായ സാഹചര്യം ഒരുക്കിയാണു പരീക്ഷണം നടത്തിയതെന്നു ഫെയര്‍ചൈല്‍ഡ് ട്രോപ്പിക്കല്‍ ബൊട്ടാനിക് ഗാര്‍ഡന്‍ ഡയറക്ടര്‍ കാള്‍ ലൂയീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. പദ്ധതിക്കായി 12.4 ലക്ഷം ഡോളറാണു നാസ സഹായം നല്‍കിയത്.

    नजीबाबाद क्षेत्र के गांव मुबारकपुर कल्हेड़ी के उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालय में कई माह से पानी भरा हुआ है जिस कारण स्कूली में पढ़ने वाले बच्चों और शिक्षकों को काफी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
    स्कूल के प्रधानाचार्य ने बताया कि विद्यालय परिसर में कई माह से पानी भरा हुआ है जिसकी निकासी के लिए कई बार अधिकारियों से शिकायत भी कर दी गई है लेकिन कई बार शिकायत करने के बाद भी समस्या का कोई समाधान नही हो रहा है। बच्चों को स्कूल आने में काफी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। बच्चों के बैठने वाली बैंचों का पुल बनाकर बच्चे स्कूल में प्रवेश कर रहे हैं। स्कूल के बच्चों और अध्यापकों ने अधिकारियों से मांग करते हुए कहा कि स्कूल में हो रही जलभराव की समस्या का जल्द समाधान कराया जाये क्योंकि कई माह से पानी भरा होने के कारण बीमारियां फैलने की आशंका भी बनी हुई है।
