ആസിഡ്, ലൈംഗിക അതിക്രമങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം വേഗം നടപ്പാക്കണം; സുപ്രീം കോടതി

വിവിധ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലായി ഇതുവരെയായി 960 കോടിരൂപ നഷ്ടപരിഹാരമായി വിതരണം ചെയ്തു

ആസിഡ് ആക്രമണത്തിനും ലൈംഗിക അതിക്രമങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഇരയായവര്‍ക്ക് നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം നല്‍കുന്ന നടപടികള്‍ എത്രയും വേഗത്തില്‍ നടപ്പിലാക്കാന്‍ കേന്ദ്ര, സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാറുകള്‍ക്ക് സുപ്രീം കോടതി ഉത്തരവ് നല്‍കി.
വിവിധ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വകുപ്പുകളുമായി കൂടിയാലോചിച്ചശേഷം നാഷണല്‍ ലീഗല്‍ സര്‍വീസസ് അതോറിറ്റിയാണ് നഷ്ടപരിഹാരത്തുക നിശ്ചയിച്ച് സുപ്രീം കോടതിക്ക് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് നല്‍കിയത്. കോടതി അത് അംഗീകരിച്ചു. എല്ലാ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഇതിനായി ഫണ്ട് നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. നിര്‍ഭയ ഫണ്ട് എന്നാണ് അതിന് പേര്. തുക സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ നല്‍കണം. പദ്ധതി അര്‍ഥവത്തായി നടപ്പിലാക്കണമെന്നും കോടതി നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു.
ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ പല സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലും പെണ്‍കുട്ടികളെ ആസിഡ് എറിഞ്ഞ് പരിക്കേല്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
ജീവപര്യന്തം ശിക്ഷ വരെ പ്രതിക്ക് നല്‍കാന്‍ വ്യവസ്ഥയുണ്ട്. പരിക്കേറ്റവര്‍ക്ക് ഏഴ് ലക്ഷം രൂപ വരെ സര്‍ക്കാറിന് നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം നല്‍കാം.ബലാല്‍സംഗത്തിന് വിധേയമാകുന്ന സ്ത്രീക്ക് പത്ത് ലക്ഷം രൂപ വരെ നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം അനുവദിക്കാന്സര്‍ക്കാറിന് കഴിയും. വിവിധ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലായി ഇതുവരെയായി ഈ ഇനത്തില്‍ 960 കോടിരൂപ നഷ്ടപരിഹാരമായി വിതരണം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് സുപ്രീം കോടതിയെ കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.കൂട്ടബലാല്‍സംഗത്തിന് ഇരയായ സ്ത്രീ മരിച്ചാല്‍ ആശ്രിതരായ മതാപിതാക്കള്‍ക്കോ ഭര്‍ത്താവിനോ പത്ത് ലക്ഷം രൂപ വരെ നഷ്ടപരിഹാം ലഭിക്കും.സുപ്രീം കോടതി ഉത്തരവോടെ എല്ലാ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളും നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം ഒരേ രീതിയിലാക്കും.
