രാജ്യത്തെ 50 ശതമാനം എ.ടി.എമ്മുകളും പൂട്ടേണ്ടി വരും

2019 മാര്‍ച്ചോടെ പൂട്ടേണ്ടി വരുമെന്ന മുന്നറിയിപ്പുമായി കോണ്‍ഫെഡറേഷന്‍ ഓഫ് എ.ടി.എം ഇന്‍ഡസ്ട്രി

രാജ്യത്തെ 50 ശതമാനം എ.ടി.എമ്മുകളും 2019 മാര്‍ച്ചോടെ പൂട്ടേണ്ടി വരുമെന്ന മുന്നറിയിപ്പുമായി കോണ്‍ഫെഡറേഷന്‍ ഓഫ് എ.ടി.എം ഇന്‍ഡസ്ട്രി (CATMi). 2.38 ലക്ഷം എ.ടി.എമ്മുകളാണ് നിലവില്‍ രാജ്യത്തുള്ളത്. ഇവയില്‍ 1.13 ലക്ഷം എ.ടി.എമ്മുകളും പൂട്ടേണ്ടിവരുമെന്നാണ് സേവന ദാതാക്കള്‍ നല്‍കുന്ന മുന്നറിയിപ്പ്.
എ.ടി.എമ്മുകളും സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയറും നവീകരിക്കുന്നത് സംബന്ധിച്ച് റിസര്‍വ് ബാങ്ക് നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ള നിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ നടപ്പാക്കാന്‍ എളുപ്പമല്ലെന്നാണ് സേവന ദാതാക്കള്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നതെന്ന് വാര്‍ത്താ ഏജന്‍സി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുചെയ്തു.
നവീകരണത്തിന് കോടികള്‍ വേണ്ടിവരുമെന്നാണ് കണക്കാക്കുന്നത്.കഴിഞ്ഞ ഏപ്രിലിലാണ് ആര്‍.ബി.ഐ മാര്‍ഗനിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചത്. അടുത്ത ഫെബ്രുവരിക്ക് മുമ്പ് എ.ടി.എമ്മുകളുടെ നവീകരണം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കണമെന്നാണ് നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം.
