നമ്മുടെ ആഹാരശീലങ്ങളില്‍ എന്നും മുന്‍ പന്തിയില്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്ന വിഭവമാണ് പൊറോട്ട.അത് ആരോഗ്യത്തിന് ഒട്ടും ചേര്‍ന്നതല്ല. എന്നാല്‍ അതു തന്നെ നിര്‍ബന്ധമുള്ളവര്‍ മൈദയുടെ പൊറോട്ട ഒഴിവാക്കി ആട്ട പൊറോട്ടയും മള്‍ട്ടി ഗ്രൈയിൻ പൊറോട്ടയും കഴിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുക.എളുപ്പം തയ്യാറാക്കാവുന്നതും ലഭിക്കുന്നതുമായവയാണ് നൂഡില്‍സ്,പിസ,ബര്‍ഗര്‍ പോലുള്ള രാവിലത്തെ ആഹാരം. ഇവയും നമ്മുടെ ദഹനത്തിനും, ആരോഗ്യത്തിനും ഒട്ടും നല്ലതല്ല.എളുപ്പം തയ്യാറാക്കാവുന്ന മറ്റൊരു വിഭവമാണ് ബ്രെഡ് റോസ്റ്റ്. ഫൈബര്‍ വളരെ കുറഞ്ഞ ആഹാരമായ ബ്രെഡില്‍ 70 ശതമാനവും അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നത് മൈദയാണ്.വയര്‍ നിറയും എന്നല്ലാതെ യാതൊരു വിധ ഗുണവും ശരീരത്തിന് ഈ ഭക്ഷണം നല്‍കുന്നതല്ല. ഇതു തന്നെ നിര്‍ബന്ധമുള്ളവര്‍ ഗോതബ് ബ്രെഡ് കഴിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.പൂരി, വട പോലുള്ള വറുത്തതും പൊരിച്ചതുമായ എല്ലാ ഭക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍ രാവിലെ എന്നല്ല കഴിക്കുന്നത് പരമാവധി കുറക്കുക.ഇവ രാവിലെ കഴിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ നെഞ്ചെരിച്ചലും ആസിഡിറ്റിയും കൂടും.നമ്മുടെ ആരോഗ്യത്തെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഇത്തരം ആഹാരങ്ങൾ കഴിവതും പൂര്‍ണമായും ഒഴിവാക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.

പത്രക്കടലാസില്‍ പൊതിഞ്ഞ വടയും പഴംപൊരിയും മറ്റ് പലഹാരങ്ങളും കഴിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക, പേപ്പറിലും മഷിയിലും അടങ്ങിയിട്ടുള്ള മാരകമായ വിഷമാകും ഉള്ളില്‍ ചെല്ലുകപത്രക്കടലാസില്‍ നേരിട്ട് ഭക്ഷ്യവസ്തുക്കള്‍ പൊതിയുന്നതും അതില്‍ വച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്നതും ഒഴിവാക്കണാമെന്നു കേന്ദ്ര ഭക്ഷ്യ സുരക്ഷാ അതോറിറ്റി നേരത്തെ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകിയിരുന്നു. ഇത്തരം ഭക്ഷണം സ്ഥിരമായി കഴിക്കുന്നവര്‍ കുറേശ്ശെയായി വിഷം അകത്താക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്ന് അവര്‍ പറയുന്നു. വൃത്തിയായി പാകം ചെയ്യുന്ന നല്ല ഭക്ഷണം പോലും ഇക്കാരണം കൊണ്ട് അപകടകരമാവാം. ചെറിയ ഹോട്ടലുകള്‍, തട്ടുകടകള്‍ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലൊക്കെ ഭക്ഷണം പൊതിയാന്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് പത്രക്കടലാസാണ്.
ചോറും അതുപോലുള്ള ഭക്ഷണവുമാണെങ്കില്‍ ഇലയില്‍ പൊതിഞ്ഞിട്ടാകും പത്രക്കടലാസില്‍ വീണ്ടും പൊതിയുക. ആ ഇല കീറിയാലും ഇതേ പ്രശ്നം ഉണ്ടാകും. ന്യൂസ് പേപ്പര്‍, മറ്റു പേപ്പറുകള്‍, കാര്‍ഡ്‌ബോര്‍ഡ് പെട്ടികള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവയൊക്കെ ഉണ്ടാക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അതില്‍ മലിനവസ്തുക്കള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ടുവെന്നു വരാം. ഈ പേപ്പര്‍ കൊണ്ട് ഭക്ഷ്യവസ്തു സ്പര്‍ശിക്കുന്നത് അപകടകരം തന്നെയാണ്.കഴിക്കുന്നതിനു മുമ്പ് എണ്ണപ്പലഹാരങ്ങളിലെ എണ്ണ കളയാന്‍ പത്രക്കടലാസ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് പതിവാണ്. ട്രെയിനുകളിലും തട്ടുകടകളിലും ഇതു കൂടുതലാണ്. ഇതും അപകടകരമാണെന്ന് അതോറിറ്റി പറയുന്നു. ഇത്തരം ശീലങ്ങള്‍ എത്രയും പെട്ടെന്ന് ഇല്ലാതാക്കാന്‍ ബോധവത്കരണ പരിപാടികളും മറ്റും തുടങ്ങണമെന്നാണ് അതോറിറ്റി നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.
