ज्येष्ठ शुक्ल पंचमी के दिन आचार्य पुष्पदंत एवं भूतबली जी मुनिराज ने षट्खण्डागम ग्रंथ की रचना की थी। तब से ज्येष्ठ शुक्ल पंचमी तिथि को श्रुतपंचमी पर्व के रूप में मनाया जाता हैं।

Jyeshth shukl panchamee ke din aachaary pushpadant evan bhootabalee jee muniraaj ne shatkhandaagam granth kee rachana kee thee. tab se jyeshth shukl panchamee tithi ko shrutapanchamee parv ke roop mein manaaya jaata hain.

On the day of Jyeshtha Shukla Panchami, Acharya Pushpadanta and Bhootbali Ji Muniraj composed the Shatkhandagam text. Since then Jyeshtha Shukla Panchami date is celebrated as Shrutpanchami festival.
