    भारत में लगातार तबाही मचा रही कोरोनावायरस की दूसरी लहर का जिम्मेदार वायरस के नए वेरिएंट B.1.617.2 को माना जा रहा है। जानकारों के मुताबिक कोरोना का यह नया वेरिएंट संक्रामक होने के साथ साथ बेहद खतरनाक भी है, यही वजह है इस बार भारत में सक्रमितों और वायरस से होने वाली मौतों की संख्या में इजाफा देखा गया है। वायरस से लोगों को सुरक्षित करने के लिए फिलहाल देश में अन्य वैक्सीन्स के साथ ऑक्सफर्ड-एस्ट्राजेनेका की वैक्सीन का इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है। राहत की बात यह है कि ऑक्सफर्ड-एस्ट्राजेनेका की वैक्सीन नए वेरिएंट के खिलाफ भी प्रभावी पाई गई है। हालांकि इसके लिए वैक्सीन की सिर्फ एक डोज़ लेना पर्यात नहीं है। यूके सरकार की नई रिसर्च के मुताबिक कथित रूप से भारत में पाए गए कोरोना के नए वेरिएंट से मजबूत सुरक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए कोविड-19 वैक्सीन की दो डोज लेना जरूरी है।

    डीएम ने कार्यक्रम को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि कौशाम्बी के लिए आज का दिन ऐतिहासिक दिन है। उन्होंने कहा कि शासन द्वारा इन्वेस्टर्स पॉलिसी लागू की गई है तथा आगामी 11 व 12 फरवरी को लखनऊ में ग्लोबल इन्वेस्टर्स समिट का आयोजन किया जाना है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा जनपदों में भी इन्वेस्टर्स समिट आयोजित करने के निर्देश दिये गये थे। उन्होंने कहा कि कौशाम्बी एक कृषि प्रधान जनपद है, किसी क्षेत्र का विकास तभी होगा, जब उस क्षेत्र में उद्योग की स्थापना होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान सरकार द्वारा प्रदेश में कानून व्यवस्था पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है, जिसका परिणाम है कि प्रदेश में निवेश का बहुत ही अच्छा माहौल बना है तथा निवेशकों द्वारा प्रदेश में बड़े पैमानें पर निवेश किये जा रहें हैं।
    डीएम ने कहा कि जनपद कौशाम्बी में उद्योग की अपार सम्भावनायें हैं, अन्य जनपदों के सापेक्ष उद्योग की स्थापना के लिए जमीन सस्ती है व आसानी से मिल जाती है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रत्येक माह उद्योग एवं व्यापार बन्धु की बैठक में उद्यमियों की बैंक सहित अन्य समस्याओं का समाधान करने का निरन्तर कार्य किया जा रहा हैं। उन्होंने प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि शासन द्वारा जनपद को 300 करोड़ निवेश के लक्ष्य दिये गये थे, जिसके सापेक्ष अभी तक 617 करोड़ निवेश के प्रस्ताव निवेशकों द्वारा प्राप्त हो चुकें हैं।
    उन्होंने कहा कि आगामी कुछ दिनों में प्रयास कर निवेश के प्रस्ताव को एक हजार करोड़ तक पहुॅचाने का लक्ष्य हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि निवेशको को शासन द्वारा उपलब्ध करायी जा रहीं सभी सुविधाओ को उपलब्ध करायी जायेंगी। उन्होने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा भी उद्योग की स्थापना के प्रॉसेस को पूरी तरह से सरल किया गया है, सिंगल विन्डो सिस्टम द्वारा सभी आवश्यक कार्यवाही सुनिश्चित करायी जा रहीं है, मा0 मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय द्वारा लगातार इसकी मॉनीटरिंग भी की जा रहीं है। उन्होंने निवेशकों को आश्वस्त किया कि आप के द्वारा जनपद में किया गया निवेश पूरी तरह से सुरक्षित है
