अहमदनगर महानगरपालिकेच्या प्रभारी प्रसिद्धी अधिकारीपदी शशिकांत बन्सी नजान यांची नियुक्ती आयुक्त शंकर गोरे यांनी केली. याबाबत आदेश नुकतेच जारी करण्यात आले. त्याचबरोबर सांस्कृतीक विभागाचा अतिरिक्त कामकाजही त्यांच्याकडे देण्यात आले आहे.

शशिकांत नजान यांनी यापुर्वी तत्कालीन नगराध्यक्ष तसे महापौर संग्राम जगताप यांचे प्रसिद्धीप्रमुख पदावर यापूर्वी काम केले आहे. त्याचबरोबर सहाय्यक प्रसिद्धी विभाग, आरोग्य विभाग, विशेष घटक विकास योजना, महापौर कार्यालय, प्रभारी उद्यान विभाग प्रमुख म्हणून काम केले आहे.

गेली दोन वर्षे कोरोना दक्षता प्रमुख म्हणून कामकाज पाहत आहेत. या माध्यमातून गर्दी नियंत्रण, विनामास्क दंडात्मक कारवाई, असे प्रभावी काम करीत असतांना लॉकडाऊन काळात अन्न वाटा, किरणा किट वाटप, कोरोना रुग्णांना हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल करणे त्यांना धीर देणे, लसीकरणबाबत मार्गदर्शन करणे, असे कार्य मनपा आयुक्त शंकर गोरे व उपायुक्त यशवंत डांगे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली करत आहेत.

गेली 25 वर्षापेक्षा जास्त काळ ते अहमदनगरच्या नाट्य, चित्रपट, सांस्कृतिक आणि साहित्य क्षेत्रात कार्यरत आहेत. एक सशक्त अभिनेता, दिग्दर्शक, लेखक म्हणून त्यांची ओळख असल्यामुळेच त्यांच्याकडे प्रसिद्धी विभागासह सांस्कृतिक विभागाचे अतिरिक्त कामकाजही त्यांच्याकडे देण्यात आला आहे.

    अहमदनगर शहरातील मार्केट यार्ड मध्ये मोकळा भूखंडावर अनधिकृत पणे बांधलेल्या गाड्यांमधून संचालक मंडळाने मोठ्या प्रमाणात अपहार केल्याचा दावा शहर शिवसेनेचे दिलीप सातपुते यांनी केला होता त्या विषयावर त्यांनी आवाज उठवत न्यायालयामध्ये दाद मागितली त्यानंतर अनधिकृत असलेले गाळ्यांचे बांधकाम न्यायालयाने पाडण्याचा आदेश दिला...
    परंतु दोन दिवसांपूर्वी दिलीप सातपुते यांच्या विरोधात फुलांच्या व्यापाऱ्यांनी एक आंदोलन केलं त्यामध्ये व्यापाऱ्यांनी दिलीप सातपुते यांच्यावर आरोप केला की ते आमचे गाळे पाडून आमच्या पोटावर मारत आहे परंतु यावर बोलताना शहर प्रमुख दिलीप सातपुते म्हणाले की माझे आणि व्यापाराचे कोणतेही भांडण नसून मी सदैव व्यापाऱ्यांच्या पाठीशी आहे तसेच शिवसेना ही व्यापाऱ्यांच्या पाठीशी खंबीरपणे उभे आहे माझे भांडण आहे ते मोकळा भूखंडावर बांधकाम करून कोट्यवधी रुपयांचा उपहार केलेल्या संचालक मंडळाबरोबर त्यामुळे व्यापाऱ्यांनी केलेले आरोप हे खोटे असून व्यापाऱ्यांवर दमबाजी झाल्याने व्यापाऱ्यांनी घाबरून हे आरोप माझ्यावर केले आहेत असा आरोप शहर शिवसेनेचे दिलीप सातपुते यांनी केला
