    देशभर के ट्रेड यूनियन अपनी मांगों को लेकर आज देशव्यापी हड़ताल पर हैं..पूरे देश में करीब 18 करोड़ कर्मचारियों के हड़ताल पर जाने का दावा किया जा रहा है. देश के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में इस हड़ताल का असर देखने को मिल रहा है...हड़ताल के चलते बैंकिंग, सार्वजनिक परिवहन और दूरसंचार जैसी जरूरी सेवाएं प्रभावित हैं...कर्नाटक में कांग्रेस सरकार ट्रेड यूनियनों की हड़ताल का समर्थन कर रही है और यहां स्कूल-कॉलेज भी बंद हैं. यहां सार्वजनिक परिवहन व्यवस्था भी प्रभावित हुई है और सड़कों पर बेहद कम बसें देखी जा रही हैं, तो वहीं बिहार के बेगुसराय में प्रदर्शनकारियों ने रेल रोक कर विरोध जताया...वहीं केरल को छोड़कर अन्य सभी राज्यों में सार्वजनिक परिवहन की स्थिति सामान्य है...दिल्ली और मुंबई में हड़ताल का ज्यादा असर नहीं देखा जा रहा है...आपको बता दें कि इन संगठनों की आपत्ति बीमा और रक्षा जैसे क्षेत्रों में विदेशी निवेश के नियमों को शिथिल करने को लेकर है. घाटे में चल रहे सार्वजनिक उपक्रमों को बंद करने की योजना का भी श्रमिक संगठन विरोध कर रहे हैं. ट्रेड यूनियन सरकारी पेंशन फंड और स्टॉ क मार्केट में अधिक पैसा लगाने के सरकार के दिशानिर्देशों का भी विरोध कर रही हैं. सेंट्रल ट्रेड यूनियन का कहना है कि यह हड़ताल सरकार की ओर से उनकी 12 मांगों के प्रति उदासीनता की वजह से की जा रही है

    बेशक समाज के एक बड़े तबके की दिलचस्पी सवर्ण आरक्षण बिल में थी, क्योंकि उसके हित इस बिल से जुड़े हैं, ऐसा उसका मानना है। लेकिन उसी समाज को इस बात पर भी गौर करना चाहिए कि उसके आसपास की दुनिया में गरीब मजदूर, किसान, असंगठित क्षेत्र के मजदूर, कर्मचारी किन स्थितियों में रह रहे हैं, उनकी चिंताएं क्या हैं, वे सरकार से क्या चाहते हैं, और सरकार उनकी बातों को न सुनकर किनकी बातें सुन रही है, मान रही है। सरकार यह सोचकर निश्चिंत हो सकती है कि दो दिनों की हड़ताल का कोई खास असर नहीं दिखा, लेकिन समाज को यह जरूर विचार करना चाहिए कि हड़ताल भले ही बेअसर रही हो, लेकिन जिन सवालों पर हड़ताल की गई थी, वे अब भी वहीं के वहीं हैं और उनका असर आने वाले समय में बढ़ सकता है।
