संसदेच्या अर्थसंकल्पीय अधिवेशनात माननीय राष्ट्रपती महोदयांनी केलेल्या अभिभाषणावर चर्चा करताना राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस पार्टीच्या वतीने भूमिका मांडली. माननीय राष्ट्रपती महोदयांनी संसदेच्या माध्यमातून देशाला संबोधित केल्याबद्दल त्यांचे आभार व्यक्त केले.
कोरोनाच्या काळात सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणालीच्या माध्यमातून राज्याला चांगली मदत झाली. याबद्दल महाराष्ट्राने केंद्राचे आभार मानले आहेत. पण एक गोष्ट आवर्जून नमूद करावी वाटते. ती म्हणजे या देशात आता 'फिल गुड' फॅक्टर राहिलेला नाही. 'बेरोजगारी' ही आपल्या देशासमोर असलेली सर्वांत मोठी समस्या आहे. याच समस्येतून उत्तर प्रदेश आणि बिहारमध्ये घडलेल्या घटना चिंता वाढवणाऱ्या आहेत. भारतीय रेल्वेने राबवलेल्या ३५,२८१ जागांच्या भरतीसाठी देशभरातून तब्बल १.२५ कोटी युवकांनी अर्ज केले ही बाब देशातील बेरोजगारीची सद्यपरिस्थिती दर्शवणारी आहे. केंद्र सरकारने जाहीर केलेल्या आर्थिक सर्वेक्षणात नमूद केल्याप्रमाणे 'स्टार्ट अप इंडिया' अभियानांतर्गत महाराष्ट्र राज्याने सर्वोत्तम कामगिरी केली आहे ही बाब अभिमानास्पद आहे. 'मेक इन इंडिया'सारखे महत्त्वाकांक्षी अभियान राबवताना धोरणाचा निश्चितीचा असलेला अभाव ही बाब दुर्दैवी आहे. द्वेषपुर्ण वक्तव्ये, केंद्रीय यंत्रणांच्या माध्यमातून सुरू असलेली दडपशाही यांमुळे देशात नकारात्मकता निर्माण होत आहे. "स्वातंत्र्य, समता आणि बंधुभाव यांना जीवनाची मूल्ये म्हणून मान्यता देणारी जीवनपद्धती म्हणजेच सामाजिक लोकशाही होय. या तीन मूल्यांपैकी पैकी कोणत्याही मूल्याचा अभाव असणे हा लोकशाहीचा पराभव ठरेल" या भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी मांडलेल्या विचारांची आठवण करून देत केंद्र सरकारला आत्मपरीक्षण करण्याचे आवाहन केले.
