Shimla (Himachal Pradesh): A big fraud has been revealed in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme in Himachal Pradesh. Under the scheme, 11 crore 95 lakh 22 thousand were paid to
11,388 ineligible people. The Opposition has questioned the Jairam government after the
cases came up in many districts of Himachal. Himachal Youth Congress protested outside
the Shimla DC office and accused the state government of complicity in the case. The
acting president of Youth Congress, Yadupati Thakur, has demanded a CBI inquiry or
independent agency to get the matter investigated. After matching the Prime Minister
Kisan Samman Nidhi data with the income tax data, it was found that thousands of tax
payers are taking undue benefits, the Jairam government issued an order to recover the
amount from ineligible people. In this regard, Additional Chief Secretary RD Dhiman has
written a letter to all the Deputy Commissioners and till now recovery work has been
done in Kangra, Hamirpur, Una, Shimla and Sirmaur
