Mandi: The new National Education Policy brought by the Government of India will prove to be an effective step towards making the country self-reliant. These views were expressed by eminent academicians of the state during a seminar organized on National Education Policy in Mandi. The seminar was organized at Cluster University Mandi in which eminent academicians from across the state participated and shared their views on the National Education Policy. At the seminar, Dr. Surendra Kashyap, Vice Chancellor of Atal Medical University Nerchowk and Nagesh Thakur from Himachal Pradesh University were the keynote speakers. Giving information about the seminar, Dr. Nagesh Thakur said that the National Education Policy has been discussed in detail and all academics have described it as a great step for the future for the Central Government. He informed that the Central Government has made a provision of a budget grant of fifty thousand crores for the National Research Foundation this year. He said that the new education policy will help in making the country self-reliant. He said that this is a very important effort of the central government and the state governments are also playing their important role in implementing this policy.
